Next Up: Bye Bye Marty, Pees and Harbaugh?

ummm what has lattimore been allowed to do that humphrey hasnt?
you may like lattimore more and i think a lot of people (including me) do too - my point is not that humphrey is better than lattimore but that you're being a little hypocritical in the way you think about them and allowing your biases based on your evaluations of their college tape to seep into your assessment of their pro careers so far...

lattimore has been a better corner than humphrey in the pros so far, but he's also been playing at an unprecedented level for a rookie corner - marlon's level of play has been pretty damn high also for a rookie corner but for some reason you write it off by saying we havent seen enough...

what do you think you havent seen from humphrey that makes you mistrust him as a starting corner in the nfl?

Not getting his head around stems from a bigger prob. In very shortened explanation. It's a balance, awareness directional compass in every players head. It is what it is. More of an instinct than football iq

honestly hump didnt show me anything. He is the same exact way from when i saw him play in college through the years. Plays decent cvg but just doesnt have the intangibles that will up his game.. still doesnt get his head around, needs to improve ball skills and instincts when his back is facing the qb... The point isnt that he is a bad cb, but you guys are making him out to be something he is not..

That seemed to be a problem in college but it’s not something I’ve seen in the pros very much at all - that’s what I mean by throwing out college tape biases etc. the most recent tape is the most important

Otherwise I’d be panning Humphrey for his inconsistent backpedal (which was my biggest personal grievance in his college film) but he’s been great at it in the pros

I don’t know what you’ve been watching but it isn’t ravens tape...

Not only has humphrey been playing well (and the stats and tape both back that up) but his problems in the pros are very different to his problems in college

None of us are calling him a superstar but we are getting excited about how quickly he’s progressing into a really good player for this team - I don’t get what it is that you think we are making him out to be...

He can catch an overthrown ball. That's all one can say good about him. He will be our strong safety in a year or two. He needs to gain 20 pounds and he can probably play the position. he'll have to get angry though. However, he was not drafted to play safety. Its residual value is all.

Lmao. The 21 year old is already being over looked after showing something as a rookie.

I might be wrong, but I don't remember qbs trying him that often minus the Lions game. That's a little telling.

I love this kid. He’s shown so much potential as a rookie. I like how he gets in everyone’s faces, including the Punters lol. He has some serious swagger. Excited to see him develop.

It's the Raven fan way..

If we win: The game is bullshit and we suck anyway. We basically lost.

If we lose: WE NEED TO MURDER EVERYONE ON THE ROSTER AND COACHING STAFF AND MOVE THE TEAM TO JACKSONVILLE

See.. It's bullshit.

What he's seen by Humphrey is him in a ravens uniform, nothing more. Ozzie makes the pick so he doesn't like it

lol Marlon Humphrey of all people, needs to get angry... he's about as angry as they come aside from outliers like aqib talib

harbs would have been canned by now if he were to go. he gets one more year and he knows that it is playoffs or be fired but the same should go for ozzie as well

I’ll leave this here and he didn’t even get to play as many snaps as most of these rookies because of him being third in the rotation all year... this is a list of the top 25 rookies this season

Dude u notice a pattern there?? He is praising every player. Wait til the next coordinator doesn't coddle cornerbacks and throws them in sink or swim style. Even Carr who was thought finished vastly improved in Pees system. Everybody bashed pees for not being aggressive enough. But his system was very friendly to cornerbacks. We will take a look at this thread several games into next yr. I know it's January so nobody is worried about clammoring how great a player is gonna be. Cuz everybody knows it will be months b4 everybody may look like an ass AGAIN!! After clammoring about Elam Brown Upshaw Correa. But September will come b4 u know it. Argue for Humph while you can.

Well, it is his “Top 25”. Should he be trashing the guys he thinks had the best rookie performances? lol
No but not as flawless as he is making them sound. And y does everybody here look for anything positive on a player?? But if he said something negative you all would be attacking writers credibility!! Like u all do with pff. When a raven u have hopes for gets a good rating it's golden and posted all over the place. But when it isn't so favorable then pff is flawed.

Please, don’t put me in the “u’all” lol Just pointing out to you that the guy did an article about who he thought were the top 25 rookies, it wasn’t the place for him to write what he thought were their short comings or flaws.

People say negative things about players all the time and I don’t say a word... your opinion is your opinion and mine is mine at this point either of us could be right we have only gotten a sample size on him i think from what I’ve seen he will be a top corner in this league within the next couple years you may not and that’s cool neither of us really know Elam and Correa are both shit shows and neither have had even close to the rookie season humph had and that’s saying something Correa and Elam are two picks that come to mind that piss me off along with Arthur Brown

Your boy Lattimore was number one I’m guessing you would love the praise he got?
