Fire John Harbaugh Thread

Not fired up. I don't care about him running up and down yelling at guys like Rivers.

I don't think this is pure selective memory. I swear to God I didn't see him doing anything during the PIT game but starting into space every time they went to the sidelines.

And how about a hurry up offense. Knowing how to get everyone up to the line quickly and get a snap off? Is that too much to ask?

oh i agree about the whole lack of urgency in the hurry up in critical situations
i was merely referencing the sideline thing (using the other things as similar examples) - so much of that is down to when the cameras find them - obviously when the ravens are losing they are gonna go and find the iso shot of flacco on his own looking forlorn - that's good drama - if you watch any of the wired stuff and you see flacco come off the field, he's almost always straight away looking at the surface with the plays on either with a coach or on his own

I think my issue with Joe is he’s just been bad all year with the same mistakes and doesn’t fix them. Maybe this speaks to your point, maybe not. But let’s be real and not pour sugar on the bitter taste Flacco leaves in our mouth. The dude isn’t getting it done. Doesn’t he lead the league in passes deflected at the LOS? I thought that could be on the OL but it’s too consistent to be on the OL. I’m putting it on how Joe throws the football. I don’t know how many floaty balls I’ve seen him throw throughout the years but it’s really evident this year. That’s never improved. Also how many times does this guy throw a ball literally into the dirt or directly at a defender?

I’m sick of the bullshit defending of Joe Flacco. I’ve defended this guy for years but he can GTFO as far as I’m concerned. He can’t leave soon enough.

Yeah - I can see how the media could be trying to frame things to play to a narrative that suits their needs (gee, I feel like I've heard that outside of sports ...)

Anyway - as @Grim has also said - I've been a defender of Joe ... I mean, he's been our guy for so long it is hard to remember the team without him ... and we did win a Super Bowl - because of and not in spite of him. But I've more than had enough. I should have had enough for the past couple years, but rolled with the lack of weapons/heath issues as the excuse. I envisioned him having a really solid season, now that he has some weapons and his health. I was fooled and it is time to acknowledge that.

Harbaugh isn't getting fired before the end of the season. We're going to possibly see Lamar on the field for 15-20 snaps instead of 10-15 and he'll cling to hope that we can pull off a miracle and win enough to get to the playoffs and maybe save his job. I have little or nothing invested in this season at this point. I refuse to get angry at our losses from here on out ... at least until we win enough games to be able to clinch a playoff spot if we beat the Browns at home and then find a way to fuck that up.

I think if Harbaugh makes the playoff his job is secure but on the subject of John Harbaugh, I am of very mixed mind. First, I don't know if he's the problem or not. There's lots of stuff suggesting he may be, or is at least considered as part of this problem. I mean, with the whole 2012 Super Bowl Season mutiny to the Pollard hate to comments from the media lately about him being on the hot seat and from Steve from this past State of the Ravens where he said he considered firing him. Yeah, you could make that argument and make it all day. I also wonder just how hot his seat is because there will soon be a ton of "new" in this team. Our GM will officially be changed, and we could have a new HC and a new QB. That's a lot of change at once and I could realistically see Harbaugh stick around because Ozzie isn't and I absolutely don't think Joe should. My argument here is that Joe has had numerous OC and the only one who really realized his potential was Kubiak and that's it. One guy after all those other guys. Joe Flacco has to go.

On the subject of what's the "so what" for Harbaugh, we haven't seen John without Joe. That's why I can realistically see Steve keep John to see how he does with Lamar. I could be completely off-base here, and I know a lot of people hope I am. I personally don't have a horse in this race because I'm fine with John leaving or staying for now. Steve seems like someone who does a systematic approach to change, which is why I'm not yet getting my hopes up on John leaving. Joe Flacco is, however, dead to me. Even if he went on to win another Super Bowl this year and didn't throw another INT and threw for 5000 yards with no picks and 100 TD I want him gone. He's a scam artist if I ever saw one.

Thats 100% what I'm thinking. But he's has to hire the best possible OC! No buddies or any other bs.

And get rid of of Flacco or bench him.
That’ll be next year. I fully expect us to play Flacco at QB against a team that has historically owned him. I’m not sure Jackson would do any better against them if I’m being honest.

So, let's try to be realistic here - our chances of making playoffs are thinner than slim.
What's the worst that can happen?

We have the opportunity to ease Lamar into the QB role with almost no pressure. Let him learn on the field, in real games. Let him make mistakes. It's time for all of us (coaches, players, FO and fans) to stop being delusional about what Flacco can do. Let the boy show what he has. At least it will be fun for half a season.

If Lamar isn't ready then the coaches shoudn't start him. If he is, then they should. Sure, Joe has reverted back to his bad habits over the past couple weeks, but it doesn't count as being disillusioned about what Joe can do to not want to put Lamar in a bad position just for kicks.

This thread is nonsense. We fire Harbaugh and I can’t name someone better who is available in the offseason that is a better coach than him. I think we have to wait until 2020. The front office is not getting enough blame for missing on draft picks and handing out ridiculous contracts to injury prone and run stuff only players.

Ready for what exactly? To take us to the playoffs?

I’d say our chances are better than that but not good. I don’t think we control our own destiny and require others to lose games they can lose. I’m not sure Flacco is significantly better than Lamar now to be honest but I think the only reason you don’t play Lamar is to avoid him getting hurt or picking up bad habits I guess. I don’t disagree on Flacco though one bit. The guy has shown he just doesn’t have it anymore if he ever did have it.

Do yall see what Ben Watson is doing in NO?

Yeah, that's the difference between our coaching staff and New Orleans. Not to mention the QBs.

You think it takes that long.

I think it may take some time if we fire him because I don’t think he’s going to be short on opportunities
Absolutely. I believe Biscotti is the type of guy who'd want to see what Harbaugh will do to right the ship with our incoming BYE week. I'm also taking into consideration on how long they've been with each other which is since 2008 (holy shit, it's been 10 years already?!). They know it's a business, but they seem close with one another and by they, I mean by Biscotti, Harbs, Ozzie, DeCosta, Cass, etc.

To this very day, I still think the mutiny story was overblown, but at least Pollard remains consistent on his stance about Harbaugh as shown in the tweet below in response to a fellow Ravens fan who asked of his opinion about Harbaugh's post game interviews:

To be honest. He has NO clue at what’s going on. He’s literally just there assigned to a position (HC). Football knowledge is 0.

Now, I'm still contemplating if I'll ever get a Flacco jersey (lol to that), but I'm basically done with him too. We all knew that he is what he is at this juncture, but I expected more from him this season in which he did pretty well when we're 3-1. I personally want Harbaugh gone, but if he stays, then whatever. It's time for the Lamar era to start. I've been wanting Marty to go as well, but since he has experience working with mobile QBs, I'll give him a chance to prove his worth as crazy as it sounds. Unless, we go on a Chiefs-like winning streak, I want the season to be over with already lol.

If he can't run the offense, then he shouldn't start. I'm not sure any other fanbase in the NFL would want to give up on a season with a 4-5 record.
I know what you are saying. What I am trying to tell you is that Flacco is not the guy to save the season either. It makes no difference in a bigger picture.

If we are realistic.
