judging by ravensflock twitter that outcome would cause the entire place to burn down lol
if it's penning or karlaftis, the entirety of ravens twitter is gonna meltdown
Welp, that’s their problem, I’d be hype for karlaftis. Like I think he’s gonna be a very good player.

Man fuck work today. I just wanna be at home, stoned to the bone and watching the draft and flipping the fuck out about it

i know lol - im doing one of the most technically intricate projects ive ever had to do and it's taking me forever because i keep getting distracted lol

I struggle with the idea of not valuing safety skill set that high in the draft, when they're willing to pay top dollar in FA to ET and Williams.

I think its more of a product of us not being in a position to get a high end Safety in recent drafts. I think if they had a do-over they'd stay pat and take James back in '18.

sure but they've passed on a lot of good options the last few years in favour of finding safeties in free agency
perhaps they see safety as a particularly janky position in the draft generally and would rather pay for something more certain

usage is so important with safeties
look at the difference it made to minkah fitzpatrick's career to end up in a better system fit

I'll say this in regards to system fit... whatever happens tonight, Pittsburgh can not walk away with a QB. Yes, everyone is down on this class but as we saw with Mac Jones going to the Patriots, all it takes is the right team, a well run organization to put a QB in the perfect situation.

Pittsburgh is a perfect situation for either Willis or Pickett and letting them get one of those two will be regretful.

I literally could not give a shit less what Pittsburgh does this year. They aren't particularly "scary" at this point.

well idk how we can stop them taking a QB - they're going to take one lol

Cincy was particularly scary this time last year either! ^_^
I would have disagreed with that. Thought they were a threat from the onset. Didn't expect them to make a SB but definitely expected them to be in the playoff hunt at a minimum here personally.

I like Willis as a prospect. Not really a fan of any of the other QBs in this draft class to be honest. I kinda do hope they take Pickett in round 1, because a) he won't start this year, b) they won't be as good this year because of it and c) I don't really think he'll be anything special in this league.

I'm sure maybe 1-2 of these guys will end up being good QBs, but there's just nothing in this draft class from a QB standpoint where I'm like "o no they got this guy, we're in trouble now".

So I hope Pittsburgh does take one this year, so that in the next couple years, when better QB prospects are available, they'll mostly end up in the NFC.

Look how fast the Bengals rebuilt with Burrow. Cleveland has Watson now, Pittsburgh with a young QB and a defense they have... no thanks.

We hope someone takes Willis and Pickett before our pick lol. If one of them is there at 14, start calling every team to see who wants a QB lol.

We'll then you and rossi definitely had good intuition. No one in the media and as I recall no one else on this board was worried about them.

i mean they were... idk why anyone didnt think they wouldnt be at least miles better than they had been
I think everyone thought yeah Burrow coming back would obviously make them better and adding Chase was super frustrating. But I don't think anyone thought given the state of their OL and defense that they would be making a SB. I think people would have told you they would be basically a 500 team

I'm not overly scared of Pittsburgh's defense either to be honest. I don't think its a bad defense, but I think they're living off reputation a little bit.
They've had a couple straight years of being a team that people can run on (which is not ideal in a division with three teams that can run the ball pretty well), and I think their overall secondary is average.

Really don't view them as better than last year, and they weren't a threat to anybody last year.

I'm much more focused on us becoming a better team than anything Pittsburgh does.

id honestly rather they take one of the guys this year than miss out and be in a better position to take one of the guys next year
really not worried about their roster over there

oh sure i dont think anyone had them in the superbowl but they were a threat

maybe this is naive of me but idk that id be scared of the steelers at all no matter who they take... they dont have the weapons the bengals have, they wont have the Qb the bengals had, they dont have an OL either and their defence has a couple of stars on it but otherwise isnt the suffocating monster it has been in previous years
