Injuries look to play a big part heading into this week already.
OT is obviously the big one. Ideally Ronnie is back and willing to give it a go, but might need to elevate Sharpe regardless just to have some extra cover.
DL is buoyed by Pierce's injury. Sounds like he's going to miss time regardless. You could conceivably get by with 5 DL but they could want Mack up to provide some NT cover. Not a pure NT by any stretch but filled the role admirably last year.
OLB is still a disaster. JPP might have to play on a short week already. Houston is probably as questionable as it gets right now. You'd think Copeland will be back up and could go to the 53 as a vet that can be released later if/when needed.
And clearly they've liked Webb on ST so will never count him out now.
Luckily we still have a solid amount of roster flexibility so doing all of those moves wouldn't be prohibitive if we wanted to. Just expecting a lot of movement this week.
LT obviously not ideal but it will be what it'll be, if it's faalele, we'll have a plan for that, if it's mekari, we'll have a plan for that and if it's stanley we'll have a plan for that - like it's concerning but not a big deal trying to work out what we're going to do at the position (and i also would fully expect sharpe to be elevated if stanley's not ready to go - maybe even if he is ready to go depending on how mekari's feeling)
EDGE is the one where ive got no idea - the fact that Copeland's likely to be a starter on the edge is ridiculous but realistic - JPP will obviously help but have no idea what we'll get out of him in his first week of practice in nearly a year
im not worried about DL right now - it's obviously frustrating that if pierce is down for the year it massively impacts our NT depth but it's not like we're devoid of talent across the DL, just will take a hit at NT and will be a big chance for travis jones to get rolling with significant snaps
