Very curious to see what we do at WR if Bateman can't go this weekend. Would leave us with only 4 on the roster, but not too difficult to get away with that with how little they're used. We have Victor and Webb on the PS. Victor is probably more impactful as an actual WR, but Webb has the ST ability and provides adequate coverage at WR.
Stanley practiced today, Bateman did not.Any update on Bateman and Stanley, I haven’t seen anything

Good to see Mekari back, so we figure to have either him or Stanley (or both) for Sunday. Bateman and Houston not off to good starts to the week. Would imagine Dobbins is just rest/recovery day for him. Already know Hill will be out for a bit, so he won't play.
Right, but I'd assume he wouldn't take a rest day after taking like the last 10 days off for rest. But will find out tomorrow.Harbaugh confirmed it was a planned rest day for JK
Houston may or may not be a thing right now. He routinely gets off Wednesdays so could be injury or could just be a vet day.

I mean, OK, but I'd like to see the historical data on players who don't practice all week and play on Sunday under John. Most of the time, they're at least limited later in the week.he's also someone who doesnt need practice - if this is a longer term injury then sure he'll need practice time when he comes back in
but he doesnt necessarily need to practice this week to be good to go on sunday
Apparently, Dobbins has a chest injury. Or at least that's the official designation for today.Harbaugh confirmed it was a planned rest day for JK

Apart from AJ Green but that never stopped him killing us.I swear the Bengals playmakers are never hurt
You're right! Guess I am just extremely pissed at our boys for dropping 2 games at home the same way-by defensive meltdowns. They did that against what some would call "passing" teams in the Dolphins and the Bills and now, the Bengals (another passing team) are coming to town. How do you think they will fare in this one?Well, two things:
1. There's plenty of teams on our schedule who won't be able to come back from being down against us. We saw the Jets couldn't, and we saw the Patriots couldn't either. We're not closing out games against better teams, but not every team is going to be as good as them. An argument could be made that we've played 2 of the 3 best teams in the AFC so far. You look at our remaining schedule, and there aren't a whole lot of "good teams" left.
2. The long game with the defense is health. If that improves, I think we'll greatly improved. We'll get Houston back. We'll get Bowser back. When that happens, you won't have Oweh or JPP playing 90% of snaps or whatever it was, which means they're fresher in the 4th quarter.

Yeah I must have missed that. Not concerned either way.iirc the same thing happened last week with a chest designation too
I think everybody has explained pretty clearly why he went for it. i.e. nobody trusts this defense to make a critical stop with the game on the line.I have just recovered from deep depression and severe anxiety over our loss to the dastardly Bills, thanks to none other than our genius decision maker, Gen. John Harbaugh Patton. Thankfully, he is only general for football games and not a real-time war. Otherwise, we'd be taking risks and be left with no army by this time. I still cannot fathom why he had to go for it. He has literally cost us over 5-6 games since last year, a playoff appearance, and at least 1 win with his poor on-field decisions. The other game he lost was because his raw D-coordinator was dumbfounded by the game and couldn't adjust at all.
