My EXACT words:

What progression has he shown between week 1 and now? We hardly saw anything from him before he became starter, and he's doing the same thing now as he was before he was starter; ie, run an option, occasionally throw the ball - and not being particularly impressive when he does throw.

I'm all for the enthusiasm and optimism, but we have no clue what we have in Lamar yet, especially given the defenses he faced over the past month. Let's see how he consistently does once he starts facing tougher defenses, and in situational ball. This team needed a change of some kind offensively. We don't know yet if Lamar is the change we needed, we can only hope he is.

All bullshit aside, I've known you (on the message boards) for a fuck all long time. I expect better from you, I know you are above putting words in people's mouths. So why start now?

some notes:
constructive criticism is perfectly acceptable - as is actual criticism when it is not mean-spirited or disingenuous
baiting and trolling are not acceptable
insults are not acceptable
this place has had the recent tendency to devolve into toxic arguments and as a community we've made a commitment to curb those tendencies

remember that this is a board for fandom - excitement and enjoyment are not things to be criticised - enjoy your fandom how you want as long as it does not impinge on others

Long story short

Lamar is cool. I’m excited to watch him.

Joe wasn’t trash. He’s dealt with injuries and had some bad circumstances around him. He’s old and has a recent injury problem. Time to move on.

I've almost zero sweeping statements and had plenty of shade thrown my way... the only time I said something I regret was during the chiefs game. I believe I said something along the lines of "Lamar cant throw" and I didnt mean that it was kind of a pissed off heat of the moment comment. I've came on here and expressed how ik excited for Lamar and think he looks good with the offense given to him. I dont think he or this team right now will be able to win from behind that's just my opinion I thought Joe was the best option and still do. But Lamar is the starter and I came out and said I'm done arguing about it and I am I support this team not a QB. Now I'm arguing the ignorance of the majority of you to say you dont instantly lash out if someone says any bad thing about Lamar or good thing about Joe. It just isnt true and it's kind of ridiculous

Some posters get blurred together for me, certain posters are more... snarky and trollish than others and I’ll admit I tend to blur threads and posters together sometimes. I don’t particularly remember you saying any off the wall shit so sorry if I responded wrongly to you

So - Show me. Show me where I flat out made the claim that Lamar has not progressed.

I mean I know Survivor Series just past, but let's just have a tag-team elimination match: Team Flacco vs. Team Lamar. Losing team sees their QB cut immediately and never to return. Sounds like a reasonable deal?
