Lamar Jackson

Anyone else remember that time Rivers played on a torn MCL and ACL in the playoffs. Fun times, different game now. Although I do wonder if Lamar had signed a contract already if he would be out there Sunday
Also a different type of player to be fair. Rivers was a statue in the pocket for most of his career. Unstable knee of a QB that moves like Lamar is a recipe for disaster.

He didn’t have the best game either but i remember watching him limp around thinking holy shit that dude is tough

I’m with you in this one. When Lamar went down, we turned to Brett Hundley as the insurance. That alone should tell you what the team thinks of the other options on the open market. Decent QBs aren’t just sitting out there.
I think they turned to Hundley because he was with the Ravens in the summer so he had some familiarity with the players and the offense, not necessarily because he was the best QB on the market There aren't many practice snaps available for QB3s.

All of those other guys were also on the market when Hundley was available in the summer and they still picked Hundley.

You're probably right. I don't know why the NFL disrespects Josh Johnson so much - he always plays well when teams add him on 2 days notice, but he never starts the season on a roster. Maybe it's a personality thing?

I do think it's funny how everyone is choosing to interpret his tweet in their own way. Everyone is making assumptions/assertions and projecting their own thoughts (including myself). The reality is simply that we do not know, and that's exactly how both the Ravens and Lamar's team wants it.
We are humans this is what we do

No way around it…. Both huntley and ab arent good qbs so it really dnt matter which one start. If we start Ab and he gets blowed out, its gonna be “ we shouldve started huntley” and the same goes if we start huntley instead of Ab.

This situation is so simple that it's just sickening.

1) Lamar gets hurt
2) Ravens diagnose a borderline grade 3 PCL strain
3) The Ravens know he is overwhelmingly likely to be out for the year. A grade 2 was enough to put him out, a grade 3 was a certainty.
4) The Ravens actively lie about his injury (just as they did last year)
5) Lamar gets slandered in the process
6) The team does not use this situation to make a meaningful attempt to improve the team

6 is especially disgusting imo when you know Huntley is limited all season by shoulder tendinitis.
Wouldn't they put him on IR if they knew from the beginning he wouldn't be able to come back?

offensive line was a major issue last season
Sure, and its not this year.
But I'm extremely confident that, no matter what happens, there will always be some "issue" that absolves Lamar from criticism. Because in the several years that I've been on here (and the unfortunate times I've been on social media), anything short of a great Oline, a great OC, and copious bundles of highly skilled targets for Lamar to throw to qualifies as "letting him down" apparently.

Despite the fact that we already know he can succeed without high end playmakers everywhere and without a high end OC. I'll always support giving a great QB a quality Oline, and that's what he's had this year and will likely have for the next few years.
