Lamar Jackson

Lamar getting some love from superstars

Lol damage control. They made it a little too obvious. Got players coming out and commenting on it
Players are pretending to be dumb. They know the NFLPA and Lamar screwed up. If he had a sanctioned agent a deal would have been done , instead he chose the devil on his shoulder in the form of the NFLPA and full guaranteed dollars

Bruh.. we ain’t trying to burn bridges. We need this dude to show up to training camp. There’s a new OC!
Yeah the absolute only way to move forward IF he’s staying, is to sign the latest offer on the table and put it all behind us.

Lamar, I look forward to seeing the chip on your shoulder after this, assuming you remain in Baltimore

Lamar just staring at social media right now

It's a shame he got such bad advice, who knows what could have been if he had an agent that would have negotiated a proper deal last year. No way all of this crap hasn't weighed on his mind and affected his play.

Lamar really needs to put this shiz behind him, get a contract in place and get his ass to work.

All these players commenting on LJ situation seem pretty fake to me. It's crazy how they trying to make it seem like The Ravens are in the wrong and they keep bringing up LJ being MVP like he didn't achieve that award 3 years ago. It's a high accomplishment but The current MVP is Patrick Malhommes. LJ is a former MVP but it's like players and NFLPA look up to him as the chosen one for that ground breaking contract that could change the game for many players to come.

Honestly I am not surprised so many teams are out on Lamar. He is a great player but no one is going to throw significant guaranteed money at a mobile QB who has taken big injuries the past 2 seasons and has not been near that MVP level in either of them, save for a 3 game stretch this season. Basically if there is going to be another team to make the same blunder as the Browns it would need to be on a player who does not have the injury history Lamar does and is playing at the level of Burrows or Herbert.

I thought it was more in response to all these teams supposedly coming out and saying they're out on Lamar

Right now I think the Colts and Texans might be the only teams willing to make the deal and give the two firsts for Lamar. Outside chance for the Lions but they seem happy enough with Goff.

Like I said earlier, the 3 year FULLY guaranteed deal averaging over 50m per season that they apparently offered him on Monday(according to Will Decosta, Eric’s nephew that lives with him) is off the table now that he declined it. I think if anything this free agency period will be a healthy serving of humble pie for Lamar in the grand scheme of things.
If lamar declined some shit like that, he is fking crazy. If he believes in himself, which i think he does, no way they offered that and he declined it

I feel if you are going to give up 2 firsts and all the money Lamar wants, you better be a team who is a QB away from a Super Bowl. Those teams that aren't interested? They are rebuilding and do not want to take on that contract. Given how valuable rookie contracts have become for QBs... that's easier to deal with than $250M or whatever Lamar wants.

Only team I don't get is Washington because you could say that with their defense, and the offensive weapons they have that adding Lamar would make them Super Bowl contenders in a weak NFC that is wide open.

Is it a weak NFC though? The Eagles and 49ers seem like the class of the conference and Dallas is the 3rd best team and then there is a sizable gap between them and the rest. I do not know if getting just a QB puts Washington on the same level as those 3 teams and that is before giving up the 1s AND before the injury history. I would not want to give a player who has been hurt, on normal hits, the past 2 years a fully guaranteed long term deal especially when athleticism is a big part of his game.

It has become very clear that the Watson deal was an aberration and no other team is stupid enough to emulate it which is why this situation is what it is to begin with and that is before any of the other question marks.

And on the Flip side of that coin are all the veteran players that have played their hearts out for this team that we won’t be able to resign. Anyone speaking out for them? Sorry people, it is a team sport with a set salary cap. No one is insulting Lamar.
