Lamar Jackson

do people realize you can both respect a generational players ability to make plays running and throwing while also acknowledging that getting hit more often will result in more injuries wether they are in the pocket or not?

He had covid, got hit low on the ankle after the pass was completed and sacked hard to the turf because he waited for some of the trash WRs to get open.

Please stop with that bullshit about Lamar's health.
Lamar Jackson injury situations started in 2020/21 in the playoffs against The Bills. That was pretty winnable game he could not finish cause he sustain a concussion after throwing a interception from a intended pass to Mark Andrews in the rezone..During the 2021 regular season he sustain a injury against The Brown that basically cause him to missed the rest of the regular games, and in 2022 he sustain another injury that cause him to miss the rest of the regular season game and even the playoffs. Regardless on how it happened it appears that LJ hasn't been available to play when The Ravens needed him most for about 2 years now. Also Edgar Allen video clearly shows that LJ was holding the ball waiting for Mark Andrews to get oepn while Devin Duvernay was open before LJ injury against The Broncos.

There was no waiting for thrash WR's to get open on that play. He was looking at Mark Andrews direction the entire time and if you don't believe me then you can watch the video below at 5:40 mark.

EXACTLY MY POINT
EXACTLY MY VIDEO
LISTEN TO THIS @allblackraven

Yeah, all they are saying has been obviously apparent from the beginning. Experience and connections are key when negotiating with people that deal at this level as the norm. In trying to save $, Lamar has lost way more than the 1% to 3% he would have paid an agent to negotiate a solid deal for him. I keep repeating it, but the dude got terrible advice from someone.

This is a pretty good listen. One where a team could trade for Lamar without having to give up two 1st. Pretty much trading for his rights. Didn’t even think about that

I feel like the only way a team could actually get Lamar is to set up the contract while also doing a trade deal with the Ravens. If the Ravens aren't get something extra they'll just match the deal and keep him. However a handshake agreement can be in place. Ravens match the offer and then trade for the full deal.

So Geno's deal with Seattle is essentially a one year deal. Daniel Jones getting $82M in the first two years of his deal. Wonder how we structured Lamar's offers is also why he was told to turn us down.

Woah. Dannay Dimes is WAAAYYYYY overpaid

Every defender in the league is like “bruh what the fuck is happening here?” While fans and execs are like “HES NOT WORTH WHAT HES ASKING”
If he could move like how he does now 4yrs from now… everyone knows he would be worth it but at same time i think thats what so concerning for some.. will his arm talent ever catch up?

I feel like Lamar’s arm talent is already there, and Lamar is going to lose his long speed but I don’t think Lamar is as much of a run first qb these days, 4 years from now I believe Lamar’s pocket presence and maneuverability is gonna be even better than it is now and yeah he’s gonna lose a step of speed but I also think Lamar’s arm talent concerns are overblown, so many of our concerns with Lamar, are concerns that we don’t know yet if they’re even Lamar’s fault, Greg Roman and the supporting cast on offense have been a problem for 3 years now and we have watched Lamar carry the offense anyway, on arm and legs.

Exactly why players hire agents. Lamar is in way over his head, it would seem.

also we saw him take measures that seemingly on purpose notably took some long speed away

as long as his short-area explosion, change of direction and agility remain he's going to be a threat for years to come

we saw him get caught from behind a little more this year but was still a very very very dangerous runner - and that was just because he put some weight on to try and help his ability to stand in the pocket and take hits

No doubt, it’s football. And the injury in 2021 wasn’t really a hit, more of a trip from behind. It was strange it kept him out the remainder of season. It’s hard not to think Lamar may not be the most durable player regardless of circumstance or injury luck.

it was a hit in the sense that the defender landed on his ankle...
not really a trip in the sense of where the injury actually came from

Footwork has always been his issue. He really worked on it and improved but it comes out a lot when he’s flustered
