2021 was gonna be so great if ronnie came back - felt like all the vets had just enough juice, the rookies were going to make significant impacts, the secondary was stacked, we had the deepest skill position roster we've maybe ever had as a team and an ok looking OL on paper as long as Ronnie was able to come back and anchor the blindside

and then the injury armageddon started and it still hasnt stopped and now a bunch of the vets who were in a great spot are probably getting too past it, some of the injured guys havent come back the same, the defence is in transition, we've lost more guys to injury, the offence has become limited by personnel
 
Re Lamar's tweet - I completely share the sentiment of it. Should Lamar have done it? The answer is probably no but not because he "should be a role model for all the young fans" and all that drivel. He shouldn't have done it because of all the MFs at media who are just waiting for something like this and that's going to boil my blood several times over.

Fuck them dick eating nerds, Lamar.
 
I wonder if a few of these questionable guys could have played and were just shut down by Harbs playing it safe. If so, that is a problem because we needed our A Team today.

i think it's not a Roman thing at all - when we had a bunch of WRs last year (maybe the best WR group we've ever hard... or certainly up there when they were all playing) we played a bunch of 11 personnel and 12 personnel and 21 personnel and even 01 personnel at times with the poor RBs we had trotting out last year... he's playing the guys who are the best guys - it just happens that one of our best players on offence right now (and it's sad that this is the case but it is) is Ricard to he's going to play a bunch - id much rather we were able to substitute him more especially in situations where we want to be explosive passing the ball... but who are we taking him off the field for now that Bateman's gone for the year?

I mean, I do get it. I just struggle with the idea that on 2nd and 3rd and long, that Ricard and Oliver are among your best solutions in those scenarios. Now, Oliver did step up today so I don't necessarily mean that as a shot at him. But I don't know... I understand that those guys are probably better than a Proche or a Wallace, but also feel it just limits your chances of success sometimes.

i get it - there's no good options i think

maybe if/when JK comes back (and if he comes back in some sort of form) you can replace some of this by playing more 22 personnel with Gus and JK on the field together more and create matchups by moving JK around

and maybe likely remembers to bring his preseason hands with him into the actual regular season football and starts to show up

but im not sure that we have a great option with 11 personnel unless desean jackson's hamstrings allow him to play more snaps than he's playing right now - the combo of him duvernay and robinson is depressing but at least functional i guess but robinson's got a hip issue and desean's got 35 year old hamstrings and has a game predicated on explosion

Im surprised he said that though.. you rarely see men in any part if florida tell another man to “ suck my d”.. i know he didnt say that exactly but it was close.. we just dnt do that down here as much as up north people unless you ready to deal with all the consequences that becomes behind.. its prolly why he said “ eat” and not suck lol

This is what I've been saying. I am not opposed to signing Lamar, but it cannot be with Roman as OC. Roman is a Journeyman. We need a bona fide Offensive guy for Lamar.

I have my doubts about it tho. I think that Lamar has something to prove and you can say what you want about drops and who's around him, he has some issues of his own and I need to see improvement or, as I've said from the beginning, he will get us a ton of draft capital in a trade and we can spread the cash we were willing to spend on him, alone, around to build a complete team.

I'm almost in the same place with Harbaugh as I am with Roman, tbh. Honestly, I AM there. They both need to take a hike. If you're gonna bank on Lamar, do it all the way. Anything short of that is a hedge. And hedges restrict your ability to act as you fully might desire and they also restrict viewpoint. Just saying.

Hard to understand why a wealthy, talented athlete would give a shit what some random guy would say.

The sad thing is that shit probably makes the papers and he spends the rest of the year, at least, being contrite and apologetic. It could get really sad and ugly. I hope it doesn't, but I fully expect that the fuse is already lit and the haters and agenda-mongers are circling. Not the backdrop to the team you want going into meaningful December Divisional games.

On a fundamental level this offense is broken. There's no execution, no fire, no discipline, and we're getting the play off with less than a second left way too much. Even the good players like Andrews always seem to falter in the end. Something big needs to change or they'll never get over that hump and continue to falter in important games.

And no, I'm not giving the defense a pass, but we could have been up by three scores in the first half if we weren't so bad in the redzone. And I have more faith in the defense bouncing back than I do in this offense.
 
Look I know, I know. Different teams, different players but I pulled up articles on when we fired Cam Cameron. Oddly enough, we fired him in 2012 before playing.... the Broncos. So perhaps we repeat history and fire Roman tomorrow before the Broncos game on Sunday. Anyway... I saw this quote from a NFL.com article and I can't help but see the exact same thing happening with Roman.

Yeah there are lots of flashes of brilliances, then the offense shuts down. The lack of running in some situations throughout the season and even today, just replace Rice with Edwards or Dobbins, or Drake. Flacco's development was being hindered by Cam, and I can't help but see Lamar's development being hindered by Roman. Also Cam Cameron had a knack for predictable play calling, so does Greg Roman and you can tell what we are doing just by how we line up so of course opposing defenses are going to know, just like how we all saw Lamar's QB sneak on 4th & 1 coming a mile away. Everything is lining up to what happened 10 years ago with Cam..... now it's time to do the same with Roman tomorrow.

Cause he a regular human just like us.. wealthy and talented doesnt change anything. Not like he did a robbery. He simply responded to someone that he was annoyed with.
