Three Game series against the Dodgers... need momentum and at least 2/3. Then a huge 4 game series against the Rays starting Thursday.

Time to take control of the division and the AL!
 
Our relief pitching needs some serious work and also, starters need to go longer than five innings. Need to be buyers at the deadline for some pitching help so we have a shot to take the 1 seed in the AL and potentially make a postseason run.
 
On a positive note, the Rays continue to skid. But it's true, we need a guy to transition to middle relief and another reliever who can shut things down for an inning of two when our starters only manage 5 innings. I bet this is what they have planned when Means returns and if Givens and Tate can help out when they get back from IL. I'd slot Means into the no-more-than-two-innings middle relief role for a couple weeks maybe then pick another starter to have that role when Means is in shape. But we are probably going to see a deal for some kind of pitching and maybe a bat too.

That's a great pick up. Starter converted to reliever, I think, and has been doing great since that happened. A little surprised we gave up a LP prospect, but I think if we get a starter we could be looking at lefties.

We need to focus now on pushing the Rays further down the standings!
 
First place on the line, Hyde really playing just for one run. Then he doesn't challenge when he should... we better hold on here otherwise Hyde has got some explaining to do.

It sure seems like 2023 could be the year of Baltimore sports! Two teams winning their respective national championships...
