Next Up: @ Bengals (Wildcard Round)

If Huntley played we probably would not have gone down two scores. I get it, the ceiling is higher but holy shit the floor is lower, Brown is dangerous.

I’m starting to get angry at the idea of Lamar not playing, if he can’t play I’m not gonna care too much which shit QB we pick, Roman better call a better fucking game tho
I just prefer the aggressive approach we took with Brown. Feels like the first time in a while we took a chance.

I don’t remember when they were but one was a near pick six on a comeback route and the other one was a screen pass batted high up in the air.

I get all that but the refs easily could have called Watkins for OPI and there goes a lot of his yards. If it has to be a backup it’s probably gonna be Huntley

batted balls are normally more about OL than QBs
and maybe you could say Watkins got away with an OPI - i dont think he did - but he also had a bunch of drops not helping him out also so it probably evens out

I'm just terrified of the fact that Cincy gets literally another week to watch film on a QB they just played against AND isn't very good. Like Brown had some horrible turnovers, and I think that still may be his "ceiling" game. I think he can play a lot worse.
That and I’m sure their defense was showing mostly vanilla looks

No question for me. I don’t get why anyone would want to see Huntley after he produced nothing for a month. Even with Brown’s miscues we were in the game and had a shot at the comeback. Huntley has no shot at coming back down two scores

if watkins doesnt fumble, or if we kick the FG in the 1st quarter, we would have scored more points on offence than in any game that Huntley's led the team all year

what makes you think that would be his ceiling?
did he not play better in the 2nd half once acclimated - made fewer mistakes

feels good to go down fighting rather than the slow inevitable death that it feels like it'll be with Huntley at QB

happy to be wrong and watch Huntley dice the Bengals up if Lamar cant go but at least Brown feels like we're trying to do something proactive on offence rather than being passive

Sure. But at that point the game's not really in doubt and so he's not concerned if throws more interceptions.

I don't think either QB is going to dice up anybody. I just like what Huntley brings as a more mobile player, AND, I think the only prayer we have of winning if Lamar is out is a defensive slugfest where the QB doesn't turn the ball over.

I think if either of these QBs and goes out and turns it over 2-3 times (frankly, that applies to Lamar too if he plays) its game over.

AB atleast can get us in a position to score. Although is a very small sample size he did look better after the second half. Either way it's a pick your poison situation. I rather them roll with AB.

also worth noting that those 2 or 3 mistakes all came in the first quarter/first half
was much better once settled and up to game speed

i think you're right that it's huntley if he's ok to go and lamar's not
It was Brown‘s first regular season game starting at qb. Yeah, he had a rough first half, but settled down and that second half performance was light years better than Huntley in that Steelers game. If it wasn’t for Proche stepping out of bounds, the strip to Sammy, and DRob’s drops, AB‘s second half stats would have been damn good! Huntley could barely throw the ball. It was clear his shoulder was injured and he should not have been in the game. If Lamar does not go, I hope they roll with AB.

I have to say Zac Taylor wins the award for whiniest NFL coach . That timeout too at end of the game . Classless .
And yet they had Burrow running a designed run up the middle at one point.
Fucking moron !
I freaking hate the Bengals! I am not going to lie, if we beat this stinking team and knock them out of the playoffs, all will be right in my world! Anything after that will be icing on the cake!

We are playing the team I want to play this Sunday, that is for damn sure!

ok my maths was wrong again lol

53 man roster (we're currently at 53)
up to 2 practice squad elevations to take you to 55 on gameday but dont have to use them

you're allowed 48 on your gameday active roster but when they increased it from 46 to 48, one of the stipulations was that the 48th would have to be an 8th offensive lineman or else it would be 47... so basically there's no reason not to activate 8 OL because the 8th OL isn't replacing anyone else on the gameday active roster

so right now, pending PS elevations, we only need to find 5 inactives:
1) QB - probably either Brown or Lamar... but I hope it's Huntley
2) RB - hopefully Drake because that means Gus clears concussion protocol this week but it's possible this is Gus
3) IOL - given recent usage probably Colon but could be Cleveland - but it will only be one of them
4) CB - probably someone who's injured or ill... but if not then it'll be Pepe most likely
5) up in the air - could be Kolar, could be Ojabo, could be another CB if they think they only need 4 up
Sweet. With having Andrews back, I'd like to see Kolar or Oliver to the bench to keep Ojabo active

wasn't that FG 59 yards at that point. Justin Tucker was kicking in practice and they weren't going longer than 54 yards. Cold air was an issue.
