You know what's NOT gonna be comic relief? Not getting a notification saying Lamar has agreed to an extension.
Just be happy knowing the next guy steps into a good situation. Defense should be top 5. OL should be good and hopefully a healthy JK and Bateman. Add another wr in the draft after EDC trades for Ramsey and picks up Mack for cheap.

You know what else is not comic relief? Making us wait until the deadline at 4pm. We going to be going crazy waiting for something to happen.

Whelp.. tomorrow sure is going to be interesting
I just want this to be over with. Now we know what @Ice Bowl went through hearing the media say whatever in terms of Rodgers. I still think a deal gets done but that has been me trying to remain positive but I'm starting to lose some of that positivity.

EDC better not be stupid to use the non exclusive tag and only get 2 firsts, we could use the exclusive and get a massive haul from a team that would be more than 2 firsts.

There's been real commitment to drafting WRs. They've just largely been awful or injured or requested a trade.
I think that commitment is vastly over-stated.

Total number of picks is the only metric where the Ravens look good in relation to the WR position, which is why it's the one team friendly reporters use.

The total number of JJ points the Ravens have used at WR since 2019 is less than Cincinnati spent on Jamar Chase alone. If you remove Hollywood, who was was traded away for a Center, the JJ points used is just over half of the Chase pick - and they already had Higgins and Boyd at the time.

That really isn't much when you consider the WR room consisted of Seth Roberts and nothing else and that the Ravens have been the lowest spenders at WR over that span too. Using a few draft picks was the least you would expect.

But that is no better since Cincy has had many times more JJ points to spend.
Normalize to % of a team's avaulable points and we may have a somewhat useful metric

I take your point but I think my argument still stands. The Ravens approach to the WR position has been closer to the bare minimum than the heavy commitment Hensley's tweet suggests - especially when considering the starting point. ( It's always 2018 or 19 because the Ravens cupboard was so utterly bare that they had to do something.)

The Bateman and Brown picks were positive (though trading two cheap years of Hollywood away and failing to replace him does undermine that) but otherwise it has been the very cheapest FAs and picks in the 90s and beyond.

why's everyone having a crisis about Geno's deal?

it's a 35m/yr deal...

has literally no relation to lamar at all...
I’m having a crisis trying to figure out what the hell the Hawks were thinking and why they would do that to their fans. Good on the man for a solid season , but Geno is never taking that team to the promise land. Saints and Hawks need accept the rebuild
