The 2023 Offseason Thread

I want the Chiefs, too much Lamar slander coming from Phili fans, an insane amount honestly
See. These bums keep bringing Lamar up for no reason. If not for their loud mouth fans I'd be cheering for the Eagles.

One was telling early I'm the season Lamar runs too much and was trying to trash his passing yards numbers. So asked how many tds he has and he named total tds (rushing and passing). The double standard was crazy because Hurts was a top 5 in yards at the time but Lamar I think had double his tds thrown. Then when Hurts passing decreased he brought up rushing yards and tds. Some of these fans are true idiots. So I asked him about Hurts putting up a whopping 125 yards with all those weapons vs the Niners and he said "he opens up the rpo for everyone else".

So we’re pretty much fucked then cap-wise if he gets the tag correct? So no D-Hop? :(
Fucked? No. Going to buy a WR with draft picks who will be expensive? Yeah, not likely to happen either.

I'm really not sure why people think this is the year we give up draft assets for more players either. We don't really have many draft picks, and I doubt Cardinals moving him for a 3rd rounder. So what, we're going to trade for Hopkins (at his age mind you) and then just not pick anybody until day 3?

Are there people who really think our team will be overall better for doing that?

Our current cap space is about half of what the exclusive tag cost will be.

No Hopkins or anybody else if they do it and they would have to release players and/or restructure some.

It is the worst thing they can do.
We're at $28M now, exclusive tag ~$45M. So its not quite half.

Cuts will be coming and so will contract restructures. Cuts probably happening even if they extend Lamar.

Extending Lamar just opens up FA so that you actually can shop in the mid-tier markets for players. With him on the cap, that's less likely to happen.

Draft Zay Flowers first round, Rashee Rice 3rd round, and Xavier Hutchinson 4th round.

Problem solved.

Well...
1. We don't have a second round pick
2. We also need multiple Corners, some interior Olineman, at least one RB, among other positions.

It may solve your WR problem. Not sure it solves the overall problem of "how do we win more games".

Opps. I meant 3rd. Let me fix that lol.

Corners? Nah.

The best defense is a good offense. -TJ Whosurmama

D-Hop is a Raven confirmed based off this reply! Thanks homie ^_^

Can you also say we can’t afford to double dip at WR in the off-season?

I don't love the hate for Jalen hurts goin on, I get eagles fans can be annoying but hurts winning can literally prove our style of offense can win and shows the blue print of getting their qb coach and good wrs is an awesome idea

also I think there's some jealously hes there before Lamar, Lamar had 5 years to make the superbowl
