The 2023 Offseason Thread

I mean, it's not like he killed his teammate. Made some poor choices by all means, but this would be some easy rehab for his image so long as he approaches it the right way.

What he did carries a sentence of 1 year, if not 5, in that state.

Of course with great lawyers, he'll get off but yeah

You don't need great lawyers to beat that and it's going to be tough to blame him when the driver of the other car had the BAC he did. Could be wrong though because I didn't see exactly what happened.

lol that would be the maximum sentence, not the minimum. Also known as only habitual offenders with a history of criminal charges get that sentence.
Even if he's found guilty, he'll never do a lick of prison time. "Charges dismissed" or "pled down to community service and fines" are the two most likely outcomes by a wide margin.

Oh for sure, for football players absolutely

Thought Harbaugh talking about Monken was weird. Mentioned he didn't watch any film of the Georgia offense. Didn't have time. Probably not something he should have said out loud.

tbf he did say they watched some together in the interviews - but yeah not as part of prep or anything

lol or really anybody you've ever met.
You've never met anybody in your life who did prison time for reckless driving on a first time offense. Talking guys making $10/hour serving at the local dive bar and everything.

I've got a friend here in VA that got arrested for cocaine possession and Felony DWI. Two felonies. First time offender.
Only time he spent in jail was on the arrest night.

Did a bunch of community service, paid for lawyers, get all felonies reduced to misdemeanors, and did no prison time. Just fines and probation.

This isn't rocket science. The legal system doesn't care about first-time offenders on misdemeanor charges. It's a waste of their time.

harbs explicitly mentioning that WR coach and Safeties coach have not been hired yet
may well be guys on staff still but currently in the interview process

obviously no idea what that means for Dubb, if anything at all

Just felt like a weird thing to admit. Like, I know he's a guy that appreciates leadership more than X's and O's but to come out and say it like that just felt strange to me.
