that's gonna change

i dont understand the rule on that - in every other phase and play to do with the endzone it doesnt matter what happens with the body it's about where the ball is but for some reason on that one play its not about the ball its about your body as well

td the ball has to cross the plane and it doesnt count if your body is
defensively you cant leave your body in the endzone and pull it towards you to get a touchback off a turnover
a safety you just have to get the ball out of the endzone not your whole body...

i dont understand the rule

NFL really doesnt care about player safety - it looked like they did in the preseason but they just dont hold officials accountable for these missed calls
and there's been a lot of helmet hits to helmets that have gone uncalled all year

They dont care about that, the military, DV or protecting the shield. It's all about money. That lawsuit never comes and the NFL still looks like it did in the 80s.

If they cared at all about player safety we wouldn’t have the Thursday games

idk this is the sort of thing, given that it was an emphasis but never gets called in regular season games, that the NFLPA could really come to blows with the NFL over again

now that the biological and physiological impact of CTE and concussions is basically proven science the NFL has no basis not to emphasise player safety

all the NFLPA has to do is show that there is no good faith attempt to reduce impacts to the head and they have a suit

this will be one of 2 or 3 major issues at the next CBA alongside streaming revenue and coach's access to young players

and the biggest evidence of the bad faith is the change in officiating between september and not-september this year in the way the rule is called

i bet there's someone for the NFLPA with a cutup of clips of these hits that went uncalled that's gonna be put together in a massive supercut for the CBA, or a lawsuit or both

peter king said this earlier and after that kamara hit i can see it - but the refs have missed some clear leading with the helmet hits tonight

Refs been keeping the Saints out of this one

Terrible call
