I agree with you, but I'm still worried that the necessity for us to win these next few games may change the calculus on bringing back some of the injured, especially somebody as pivotal as Hamilton. I'm hoping they aren't stupid about it.
 
I posted about this earlier in the season. All 22 films has made multiple videos showing that teams that run the ball on us out of 11 personnel do so extremely successfully. In the Rams game they ran 23 plays out of 11 personnel. 19 were runs, and all were positive plays.

I said weeks ago it's an easy to spot gaping flaw in the identity of this defense. Nothing has changed since then and I doubt anything will.

Not trying to be a downer but I think given the fact that SF has such a talented roster for 11 personnel, MM is gonna do what he always does which is play this we don't give up chunk plays defense and CMC is going to eat us alive. Then in charge of pace play action will score the TDs. They're defense is also legit. I expect us to not only lose but get embarrassed by SF.

Let's see if against Jacksonville we can clean up the run D. I don't see what's gonna change though.

I agree, I watch SF and really don’t see how we are beating that team right now that they are healthy. They are Steamrolling teams right now.

We'll need to be hitting on all cylinders and score TDs, I think they will get theirs no matter how well our D plays.

A big part of why I think we can win is our personnel on defense. Also will come down to OL play obviously, but someone like Hamilton, to me, will be crucial against them.

I'm not scared of the damn Niners. Philly has shown they're terrible on the backend and the Cowboys defense was terrible. People forget in 19 they were wrecking teams as well and we beat them.

The trend I keep hearing from media is about our lack of playoff success. Lamar has evolved drastically since January 2021.

I guess if you want to crown them.....crown them.
 
What should be done against SF is to crowd the LOS. That might mean leaving Humph and Stephens on islands but my goal would be to stop Kittle, Deebo and McCaffrey on the shorter stuff.

I think he’s even evolved some this year. In the playoffs it’s critical to keep cool and not panic, seems Lamar has matured and isn’t living and dying with each play, although there’s still a bit of the fist slamming and stuff when a play doesn’t go for a home run. Just has to stay focused and play smart.

Nobody in the NFL can beat SF healthy. SF has embarrassed both of the top teams in the NFC already. 31 teams can’t beat healthy SF.
 
I'm sorry, but this narrative that nobody can beat SF healthy is complete bullshit. Lamar does things on the football field that defy logic and our defense is more than capable of giving the Niners problems. Mad Boogie is turning into a goddamn superstar akin to an Aaron Donald and you don't think we can ruffle Purdy's feathers? From my view, we match up with the Niners better than any team in the league

Justin Madubuike is not even in the same league as Donald. AD was perennial 1st team all pro and always a DPOY finalist if not winner. Justin Madubuike will be on neither 1st nor 2nd team all pro unless he has a monster final few games. That is an insult to how great Donald has been to even mention them in the same sentence. When Donald is done he will be in the conversation for greatest defender ever.

I did not expect to have to break down why the 49ers dominate everyone when healthy but here we go. Lets start with the offense. They have a premier all pro LT. They have the best RB in football without question. They have 2 top 15 WRs. They have a top 3 TE. Combine that with a QB who is equipped to take full advantage of all of these weapons. The Ravens are average against the run and the 49ers are the best rushing team in football, to go with that dangerous passing attack so that is a brutal mismatch.

Then you have the 49ers defense. Obviously you have Warner and Bosa who will likely be 1st team all pro again this year to go with Hargrave which will create a lot of problems. The nice thing about the secondary at least though is that it is only really good and there are not multiple all pro players on that part at least. The idea that the weakest part of their defense is just very good is why they dominate teams.

Their biggest weakness is that their formula falls apart quickly if players get hurt as all that talent means they do not have a lot of depth. However, there is not a single team that can beat them. None of the matchups are favorable and the idea that Lamar will just magically fix it seems weird because it just does not make sense. I am not sure what the recipe for beating them is when their roster is that loaded and it seems like nobody else knows either because when it got hurt for 3 weeks was the only time they did not win.

The other thing is that our fans think our defense is wayyyy better than it actually is.

They do struggle with mobile qbs, but man there just too loaded , their secondary which imo is their weakest part has lockdown wrs like aj, metcalf now imagine against the ravens wrs, I'd be surprised if the ravens win , only way is to get a lead

also about beeks, some sacks are from stunts, mac scheme, in the ravens vs rams game we seen donald get double, triple team did we see that with beeks? its mostly solo blocks
