Next Up: vs. Steelers

The debate rages on. I’m always torn on this. How do you rest your players and keep them game ready for the most important games of their lives? I think coaching is most critical during these times. Harbs has a decent record coming off of byes so I will default to “I don’t want Lamar, or any other key player injured in a meaningless game”. But then again it is the Steelers we’re playing. lol
Yes but what's the record coming off a double bye?

I want to see the starters every game. It is probably not the best choice strategically, but I want to maximize my personal enjoyment from the hours I spend watching sports even if it reduces the chances of playoff wins. ...but I am not representative of the "fanatic" part of "fan"

I'm so worried about T.J. Watt trying to take out some of our starters with dirty hits. I am honestly worried, although I'm not sure he is such a dirty player. I just keep thinking back to the Stanley hit after the whistle...

Not an iota. You are the statistical outlier.

Rest. Really not a debate this team is full of veterans and even though we mostly survived this season, it has been absolutely brutal physically. Lamar/Stanley/Moses/Zeitler/OBJ/Mads/PQ/Ro/Hamilton/Hump/Stephens/Williams/Gus/Hill/Flowers/Likely/Pierce. I'm not playing ANY of them. This is a veteran team, the rust thing is for young teams.
I'm okay with resting but you have to be prepared for a good portion of these guys to play. This isn't preseason where you have some slapdick RB6 and CB12 that can come in a run the ball in garbage time if someone gets hurt or needs a break.

Here’s the weather for game:

I'm not sure that I would call him a dirty player, but he definitely plays somewhat reckless out there and, as a result, has caused injuries to other players. I hope we're sitting Lamar for the entire game because we really don't need that risk for our MVP

Ive seen plenty of his plays and hes a suspect player . Not at Burfict level but hes getting there.

Steelers are 4 point favorites right now
Well even if we play Lamar for a quarter , all he’s gonna do is quick throws and hand the ball off He will not run nor will he drop back for longer passes.

The Steelers know this so honestly Huntley would be harder to beat in this game .

Go Huntley !!

well we do win the fist game of the season a lot. That should count
No cuz everybody is on the same footing plus we were flat against the Texans.
Good

Good question. Looking back I don’t think Harbs has ever been in that situation where we were #1 seed, or had 2 meaningless games before playoffs.
2019. Sat our starters the last game, had the bye week and then got creamed

Forgot about that. F’n Tenn. yeah but different times. Lamar was still inexperienced and hyper as a mofo. He’s a different QB now. I would NOT play him in this game. Period!

Y’all need to stop over thinking this. Unless your injured.. your playing. Period
