Coaching Carousel 2024

I do wonder now if we have to worry about Michigan potentially chasing Macdonald now. It would definitely be the best way to lose him, him going off to a College Team and not another NFL Team.

I'd be surprised.
For starters, MacDonald doesn't strike me as the recruiter type. Great coach, but being a great coach is like 25% of the need in college football. It's primarily just about talent acquisition.
Second, a lot of coaches leave prominent HC gigs in college for coordinator gigs in the NFL. Maybe not Michigan-level jobs, but decent D1 jobs. Lastly, he's getting HC interviews in the Pros. College is a step down at this point.

Chargers bringing back Joe Hortiz for a second interview. Looks like the Chargers are trying to create a Ravens west.

Update on Jim's potential staff in LA and who will take over in Michigan. I read Jay Harbaugh (Jim's Son) and I'm just like, that family really loves the letter J don't they.

Already been said it won't be him, but Macdonald would be foolish to even consider a college head coaching job at this point. He'll get an NFL head coaching offer soon if he keeps it up. May not be this year but it's coming.

good article detailing the latest at the 4 remaining open HC slots

looks like Macdonald's potentially only in 2 of these races and only seriously in the Panthers one

I hope he's smart enough to know not to take the Panthers job, but even with the Panthers job it seems as if it is coming down to Vrabel and Canales.

Falcons again meeting with Slowik at Arthur Blank's house. At this point, I expect Dan Quinn in Seattle, Ben Johnson to the Commanders, and Slowik in Atlanta is how the final three slots go.

Does that mean our guys stay??

at this point it's very possible we keep Macdonald.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Anthony Weaver signed as a DC some place else or Dennard Wilson, currently passing game coordinator as the DC with the Titans.

I bet a lot has to do with this next game as well. We lose, and teams have time to interview/hire. We win, they would have to wait another two weeks to get an interview/hire
