I like Macdonald a lot but not sure I’d can Harbaugh to keep a defensive coach. Now if we had the next offensive genius who was 36yo we may be talking but not a defensive guy. We’ve never seem to have issues there in our history.
I might be able to get on board in this case, especially someone that would gel with Lamar in this theoretical scenario.
I love Macdonald and think he's going to be a good coach, but let's also not pretend people weren't questioning the fuck out of him until Roquan saved the D last year. Leveled up even more this year.

Same. I think this would’ve been the perfect guy to make harbs kindly step down. Optics are a bitch because who fires a coach after a 1 seed and conference championship
I guess this must mean Anthony Weaver will be retained as DC.

Honestly though, I'd really rather have Vrabel as DC if he's willing to take the job over Weaver. I know we supposedly really like him. And if we go with him, I'll support him absolutely. But I would feel so much more comfort in the certainty of Vrabel.

He’s be gone in a year most likely, and there’s bad blood unless that stuff is overrated. But I’d also be for it. Man there really won’t be much good news this off season will there…

Last time Mike Vrabel was a defensive coordinator I think his defense was ranked 32nd overall. Good head coach though but his resume as a defensive coordinator is not at all great or maybe not even good. I rather it be Weaver or someone else that is apart of this coaching staff already that knows the system and how the teams likes to use their players on defense.

Got to think the only reason Wilson leaves is if he wasn’t ever the DC candidate for the ravens
So ravens getting picked apart and basically having to choose 1 defensive guy to definitely keep - the others are all gonna get picked up elsewhere
Zach Orr does make the most sense in terms of continuity from macdonald though…
