Yeah, but why did BB have that record? The QB sucks and well the team isn't that talented. Harbs had the "best" team and still couldn't win it all so yeah thanks that was the point. I won't get into the Brady made BB talks. My point is, as you admitted we were the best team and still couldn't get it done. AND IT'S HOW WE LOST! Same questions we have after the Titans loss in 2019. Even you who has an answer for everything doesn't understand why we abandoned the run right?
Well he had that record because a) the QB sucks and b) the roster construction in NE was terrible. And who was in charge of the roster construction? Belichick was. He picked the QB.
If EDC constructed a roster the same as the Patriots have for the last even decade or so, I'd be firing his ass immediately.

In the last six years, we've had the "best team" twice. And the second time, we were one game from the SB. So no, I don't think Steve is going to fire anybody over that.

I don't understand why we abandoned the run. I also don't understand why abandoning the run in one game earns you a firing. The "drastic steps" that need to be taken to get this team over the hump includes getting the playmakers on your roster already to actually make plays. Or in this case, not make plays. Like not throwing into triple coverage when in FG range. Like not fumbling on the goal line minutes after you taunt somebody for just doing your job correctly. Lets start with not making those mistakes, and when we don't, and we get outcoached, then we'll talk about coaching changes.

Come on mcjacket your smarter than that! Atleast, you act like you are. You're being stubborn for the sake of argument. Abandoning the run in one game? How about Abandoning the run in the most IMPORTANT game, like 1 game to go before the SB. Like against the 28th ranked run D. Again it's the same questions after the other playoff exit we had because we abandoned the run. And his answer of "the game didn't call for it" is lame. You ok with that? That's fine but I'm not.

Do I believe he will get fired? No. Do I want him to get fired, of course! He had the best team and couldn't get it done. It's time for a change.

Idk how some of you want to keep Harbaugh. This is a what have you done for me lately league and what has he done besides get Lamars MVP season one and done and bounced at Home in the AFC championship game. Again, is not that we lost, it's how we lost. Then his stupid answer of "this game didn't call for it" just makes it worse.
We can't keep excusing him because of his previous success. Look at BB previous success ans he's out of a job. It comes to a point a change is needed.Harbs has coached this team for 15 seasons. His message is stale, his excuses are lame.

We cannot keep changing coordinators. That's not the solution. We had the best talented team and to show for it we played 1 good half, just 1! Against the Texans.

The AFC championship game was kind of significant for this team especially at their home stadium because this hasn't happened in quite a long time so that is a accomplishment in it self. Ravens not winning yesterday sucks and they may have been the better team but it's not like they were going up against scrubs either. The way this offense was able to play in the regular season and actually potentially help Lamar get his second MVP award was quite an accomplishment. Also I don't think people realize that this was a new offense and this was also Todd Monkens legit first year ever coaching/coordinating a team in the playoffs especially against a team like the Chiefs. Harbaugh hire of Monken and Macdonald has definitely been a great success but being the best talented team doesn't necessarily mean you going to go to the superbowl or win every playoff game. Other teams that are in the playoffs are still pretty good and chiefs are pretty good team and have been for quite sometime.

You are giving Bill Belichick mad accuses because he not only was the Patriots head coach but he was also the general manager for that team so he had every hand in drafting Mac Jones along with his down fall. BB just never was able to be successful again after moving on from Tom Brady while John Harbaugh on the other hand has continue to have success from Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson. That just isn't easy thing to do as we have seen the greatest head coach (Bill Belichick) not being able to do so.

Well its not really the same questions as the other playoff exit, because the other playoff exit we didn't abandon the running game until we were down like two TDs in the second half, which is precisely when you need to abandon the running game.

We ran the ball in the loss to the Titans. We just didn't run it well. That's not what happens yesterday.

Just think this is the classic overreaction to the last thing you saw.

I don't care what John's answer was to be honest. HC's are paid to lie to the fans. If it were up to me, I'd never hold these press conferences to begin with. He's not going to stand up there and throw his OC under the bus in the last game of the year. I'd want him fired if he did.

Would also point out... while I definitely think we should have stuck with the running game, there is literally nothing you'll see on film from KC's defense that makes you think we would have been successful at it. They played 7-8 in the box pretty much all game, and man coverage on the outside. Perhaps the biggest travesty of the game is that guys like OBJ and Bateman pretty much never beat man coverage the entirety of the game. You beat that a few times, and defenses come out of that stacked box.

Notice the two coaches are both offensive specialists. In this modern league you either succeed with a offensive hc or a defensive one

Lol I'm not giving BB mad excuses. I'm saying previous success doesn't mean anything if you can't win when it matters most. Of course Brady left and everything went down hill for BB. If Lamar left how do you think this team would look lol.... if you are happy with the regular season accolades then that's you. As a fan of this team, I'm not. What matters is the SB. We said we had the best team and it was superbowl or bust and we busted big time! And the point some are missing is that we are losing the same way. We are abandoning the STRENGTH of this team for no apparent reason. Can you make sense of that? Do you understand why this is rubbing people the most? Or does this point not matter?

For the record... I never said SB or bust. Some clowns might have, but I didn't. In a league where playoff experience matters a ton, its a pretty tall task to go from basically not being a playoff contender for the last two years, to winning the SB. That's a pretty big leap. You saw that same issue with Detroit yesterday too.

I said it was AFCG or bust, and we achieved that.

Well I guess we'll never know if we could've ran on them or not because we didnt try it. Ill leave it at that.

I'm curious, how would you have felt if we lost to the Texans? Be honest.

We had 2 good quarters out 8 in the playoffs. I'm sorry that doesn't cut it for having the "best" team in football. Look 15 seasons is a long time in the nfl and I think it's time for a change. Agree or disagree this is how I feel.

Ravens fans probably said the samething about Joe Flacco before he left and looked how that turned out. So honestly I don't know but I do know that Harbaugh has shown the ability to really put first round quarterbacks in which this team has drafted in position to be successful in this league. BB on the other hand has not outside of Tom Brady . You say what matters is the super bowl but honestly you probably would have most likely would have wanted Harbaugh gone if this team went to the super bowl and lost. If just making it the super bowl is your only focus then honestly your expectation isn't high either. I want my team to make it to the superbowl and win every year but i definitely understand it takes work to get there and I acknowledge the work that it put in by my team on their mission to get their as well. I think it would be really boring for me to watch regular season games regarding my team and have this mindset like nah none of this matter cause it's not the super bowl. That just seems nuts me but ok

Two things:

1. I think most fans were ready to see Joe go. I think most people defended poor play in 2013 and 2015, but 2016-2018 were breaking points for most people. It was very obvious to most Ravens fans that he wasn't it anymore. Lamar, on the other hand, is about to win his second MVP (probably.) There's a world of difference between the two.

2. BB made it work well with Jimmy G/Jacoby Brissett and went 11-5 with Matt Cassel.

Go back and read what I wrote before the Texans gave. I said it would have been a travesty. Cowboys-level failure.

Harbaugh "trusts his guys" his players, his coaches, but I sometimes wonder what else he does..

He has trusted 2 successive OCs to melt down in the playoffs without intervening.

He trusted his QB despite knowing he has a tendancy to get too tight in the playoffs. He didn't ensure there was an opening script that would allow him to settle into the game - two weeks in a row. He hasn't arranged for any sports psychologist to teach Lamar some techniques to come into big games relaxed.

It took years for him to finally suppress Wink's urge to blitz against the best passers.

Is he a spectator or a leader. Would the building function as normal if he wasn't there?

John Harbaugh is a leader and that's what makes a strong head coach. Not being a great playcaller, whether that be on offense or defense. It's why his players both current and past continually say he was the best coach he has ever played for. I believe the players way more than the fans. It would be a monumental mistake to fire John Harbaugh. MONUMENTAL.

I think players loved playing for Reid. I think Eagles fans would still take the current trade off.

Not saying the situation is one to one or that Harbaugh should be gone, but sometimes a change is necessary

and Reid is a terrific leader as well. No question he's a great coach.
