Wow. Those are nice measurables. I've been wondering about small school talent.
Yep, quite a bit actually while watching Thorson

Great hands, big reach. Catches everything (pass doesn't have to be too accurate) and good on contested catches. Be nice if he was little quicker on release but can make a lot of YAC with second level speed. Pretty interesting guy.thoughts?
Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State: I understand the drop concern but his catch radius is something else. It's not fair. I worry about his high cutted and somewhat stiff style of run when going up against press, but he has speed, toughness, size and a bully mentality. The ceiling is sky high. Top 3 WR.
AJ Brown, WR, Ole Miss: Such a tough eval. Fun to watch, but the fact that he never faced press and never had to haul in contested catches or deep balls scare me. Love his attitude though.
N'keal Harry, WR, Arizona State: I just can't. Athletic, yes. Hands, yes. But that won't do it in the NFL if you can't show any nuance in your route to set up DBs. It's fine when you catch the ball on the helmet of a 5'10 Utah CB but when you have a Jimmy Smith or even a Marcus Peters you're not coming down with it just because you're tall and strong.
Depends on what we do in FA re pass rush and who is available when we pick. Both spots are critical, I wouldn't mind either.I think with us getting ET3 and Ingram we're more likely to grab a wr early.
Good news is a lot of recievers comming out are scheme dependent which is very much the kind of team we are.https://1057thefan.radio.com/blogs/...-many-receivers-are-going-want-come-baltimore
Yup. I think everyone deep down inside knows this fact. That’s why I rather spend FA money on defense / oline and draft young offensive skill players to grow with Lamar. I hope we double dip in WR this year
you may not have picked up on this, but he moves and changes direction in a way that a 6'5" 230lb guy simply shouldnt be able to. he isnt slot receiver quick by any means, but he isnt WIDE open all the time by chance, he is a legitimate route runner with quality cuts and digs and some savvy to pair with it.Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State: I understand the drop concern but his catch radius is something else. im ok with limited athletically if youre an absolute technician, at least at WR im ok with it. im even more ok with it if youre also a grown ass man like harmon. he reminds me so much of boldinKelvin Harmon, WR, NC State: I'm torn on him. He feels really limited athletically but else he checks so many boxes. Really a master of his craft, and a pure WR1 on the field.
Another problem i see with Harry is in 50/50 situations he always seems to let the ball come to his chest.
I thought the same thing. When you see Butler go up for a jump ball its always his hands that meet the ball at its highest point. But Harry just always seems to trap it against his body. Yet Butler has the higher drop rate....which is odd because he has better hands than most of the other big wrs

Maybe its true that catching the ball isnt a technique thing at all. Maybe you either can or cant catch and Butler just cant catch.yeah i dont really understand it tbh

Saying as in the drops will always be there for him
Ya its one of the only reasons i would be livid if we took Harry. Hes big and he can def catch and is great after the catch which would greatly help our offense. I jist really wouldnt want him in the 1stmaybe - given our experience with perriman it does make me nervous but perriman also had bad catch technique which made him more susceptible to drops
