The Gameplan, the Identity, and Nate Wiggins’ Hands

With Henry it would make even more sense to have Ricard. Not sure what the hell they were thinking the first few weeks especially with the O-line issues we have.
I think early on they didn't really know what to do with Henry and that was the bigger problem. Now that they seem to know how he fits, Ricard's usage makes a lot more sense.

So we gon talk about that Harbaugh timeout or nah
that used to be a personal foul and a 15 yard penalty. I remember this happening to Joe Gibbs in the first game Washington played after Sean Taylor's murder. They started with 10 men on defense in honor of Sean Taylor that game vs Buffalo, ironically.

The game was tied at the end and the Bills had the ball with what would be a very long kick, but he had the leg. Gibbs decided to ice the kicker, on top of a time out that was already called. Ryan Lindell was then able to kick a 36 yard fg instead of a 51 yard field goal to win the game. I was at that game and remember it clearly.

Not sure when the rule changed.

Edit: So the rule didn't change, it remains a personal foul when you call back to back timeouts to ice a kicker.

Also gotta give Nate a shoutout for a bounce back week… minus the dropped INTs of course.

The effort on the tape last game wasn’t great and it seems the coaches caught it, because dude was engaged all game. Even on ST, the effort popped.

Got to think that with the guys in that room that they were gonna hold him accountable too

felt like Marlo turned it up a notch this week too

notable that teams really think that Stephens is the guy to pick on - and the only thing they're getting him on is deep fades (the highest difficulty and lowest probability of success play in the sport)

i think having Nate on special teams is gonna be good for him too also

Well played game by us but too may dropped passes. Bateman, Andrews Zay and i think LIkely (tough catch though) all dropped passes.

Wiggins looks like he will be a great defender but I sure hope he doesn't have hands of stone.

only 2 of those were actually drops i think... and the 2nd (bateman) was being held throughout the play before getting to the catchpoint (still he'll want to have caught it)

i dont remember the zay one...

He was zooming on the muffed punt

Yeah after the replay Bateman was a breakup. Zay I haven't gotten another view but seemed like it was in a place to catch it. Think it was a good throw to get it where he did. Might have been tough on that part of the sideline and not 100% on where it hit him.

It was a 3rd and long and Lamar placed a dot in between 2 defenders along the sideline. Zay got caught making sure his feet were in before looking up for the ball and it just clanked off of his hands.

it was a really tough catch and I'm not sure it will be counted as an actual drop.

idk, maybe - would have been a ridiculous catch if he makes it

Not that I haven't watched Derrick Henry before... but now that he's here and I see him week to week, that running style is so weird. Does not look like he should be moving as fast as he is. Every step looks labored but if it works, it works.

He's so huge and he runs upright, I think that makes him look that way.
