The Lamar, the Receivers, and the Pass Defence

Great team effort against a division rival in their house, never easy regardless of the opposition’s form. Lamar is gaining more confidence and maturity, his command of the offense has been exceptional. Mistakes were made, but as good teams do they kept at it and picked each other up when it counted. We did get a lifeline via a botched snap on the game losing FG, but hey, we’ve been on the opposite side of that many times so no guilt there.

There’s a tight team chemistry forming with this squad and if they can stay healthy could be a special season.

You guys will win next week! Washington is good but the Ravens are much better.

The Bengals are healthy and humming with Burrow, Chase, higgins and all that investment in the Oline is finally paying off with a solid unit. This is one of if not the most explosive team in football when they got that going. I'm taking the road dub and won't anger the football gods with quibbles. We're lucky that defense is so bad and it's nice to see them in the hole at 1-4, but would anybody be surprised if those guys rattle off an 8-2 over the next 10?

I'm fully expecting them to be in the mix late in the season. What this did was make them have to work for it and help us with winning the division.

for those worried about the hendrickson 7 pressures on 20 snaps vs stanley...

still not great but definitely not 35% pressure rate in terms of being ronnie's fault

Feels great to have Ronnie back healthy.

was just gonna come here and post this same thing
at the end of the game i said tylan was the unsung hero and this was one of the reasons why - well just add ricard in there too

but if guys are playing like that with that kind of synergy then you have to think this offence is gonna be hard to stop and even has more levels to go to get even better

It's super impressive to pick that up in real time. Pat realizing Tylan couldn't get to his block (and have to point out that Hendrickson played with good recognition too) and Tylan realizing that quickly that Pat was taking his mark so might as well get out and take Pat's mark.

if you're looking for some positives too look to on defence - it's these sorts of underlying numbers (and the DVOA type stuff that takes into account strength of opponent)

the explosives and big plays are annoying, but they're not necessarily evidence of a broken scheme per se

but also notable that all 3 of the guys we lost on the defensive staff are operating defences that are rated higher than ours (and in most cases with less talent) and the other guy from MM's tree is top of the list

the all-22 from this game is gonna be really telling (so annoying for me that this game isnt replayable in the UK for like 4 hours still) - are there schematic and playcalling problems or is it simply that DBs were blowing assignments over and over

I wouldn't be surprised at all

I forgot to mention that I yelled 'your mom doesn't love you' during McPherson's FG attempt and he missed (ignoring the holder for now) and I can't help but feel it was no good all because of me so you're all welcome
you sure his mom isn't a Ravens fan?

I feel privileged to have attended the first ever Ravens Bengals shootout. I need to watch highlights I am still having a hard time processing whatever the hell I just watched. I accepted a loss 3 different times, this feels like when they made us 0-3 back in 2015, we just didn’t go away, Lamar broke another narrative and played amazing coming from behind.
Speaking of which, I saw a good amount of purple in the stands. Seems they got loud once Henry broke out that big run to set Tucker up for the GW FG.

Look at Linderbaum still being HIM!

Might need to start doing this when kickers are attempting 50+ yards against us. Can't hurt to try lol.

Bro Marcus Williams is the worst safety in the entire league by PFF. That's nuts
Dude does not look good at all. Slow and a liability. wtf happened

How is it even possible for a guy who was obviously top 5 maybe better to be worst? He hasn't had any lower body injuries like Achilles or ACL. So it's totally inexplicable
