The Lamar, The Offence and The Pass Defence

How is it even possible for a guy who was obviously top 5 maybe better to be worst? He hasn't had any lower body injuries like Achilles or ACL. So it's totally inexplicable

I am thinking maybe it's confidence. He had all those INTs when he first joined us and then got hurt.

I mean maybe if he was playing at LOS and is making business decisions with respect to tackling. But dude has been slow and out of position playing deep. What could he possibly be scared at playing in his element back there?

So what would you guys do to fix the very obvious issues at safety? We obviously don't want to move Hamilton there and lose his dominance close to the LoS, but what are the options at this point?

Just for the hell of it, as soon as Maulet is back, I'd put Hamilton and Washington as safeties and we have a bunch of corners that can take the slot snaps. I'm not trying to say this is a great plan, but if the current duo cannot affect a single play right now, what have we got to lose?

Another thought - what if we get the facemask there at the end and score a quick TD. Do you think the defense stops a Bengals offense force to play 4-down football with all 3 timeouts left? I don't. In that sense, the missed call was probably good for us due to the FG being successfull. The story is of course completely different if he missed that.
To me, it is just an interesting thought experiment

He looks off. Maybe with Maulett coming back we can ease him in and move some guys around.

I forgot to mention that I yelled 'your mom doesn't love you' during McPherson's FG attempt and he missed (ignoring the holder for now) and I can't help but feel it was no good all because of me so you're all welcome
Thank you for your service

i mean they call a facemask, you're not scoring a quick TD... and even if you do, the bengals have less than 1:35 on the clock and the ravens got them to 3rd and 17

There are still serious issues with JH, but what I liked most about this game is they kept playing and in many of the scoring drives looked like they knew what they were doing. Even when they didn't, like the Likely TD at the end where Lamar ran a country mile to get free enough to motion and then throw the TD pass. Their DEF backfield needs to improve, but if that starts with a little criticism from Roquan, that's a good beginning point. I don't know if it was a plan, but that long run with Henry in the 4th is a perfect place to start putting the peddle down with him with DEF's being tired and him only with like 12-14 touches at that point. His fresh legs in the 4th has to scare DEF's.

Regarding JH, that TO in the 3rd qtr. - was it the 4th, was terrible. He has to know better, but yet he doesn't. He seems to react emotionally. I was shocked he kept the challenge flag in a couple times where I felt he would have normally thrown it, lost, and hurt us by doing it. I still think he is the weak link with this team, but that's nothing new and I don't wanna beat a dead horse as others are seeing it and pointing it out now.
