lol, I do agree with you and if this cut ends up being Webb-esque and we can get him for a reasonable contract, than I'd be fine with it. We still need to draft a FS or sign a young FS in FA.

In regards to coaching, sure he'd be a great assistant coach, but if this were to happen I think he would want to be close to his family and also would take a year off.

only 3 pass breakups all season !!! Come on how can you defend this? Ive seen safeties this year do this in one quarter of one game.

I'm not defending it, it's pathetic, I'm just saying he's still a leader and could be useful, just not at his salary. We did the right thing by cutting him.

I wouldn't be fine with him being paid, suiting up and playing under any circumstance.

i think this article pretty nicely explains why weddle was so successful here even in a statistical down year, why he's not necessarily a fit in many other places, and why the ravens might want to get rid of him etc.

our defence fit him in a way that not many defences do
likewise he did some unique things for our defence that no one really does elsewhere
 
You all keep sleeping on the Browns. No one can tell me they shouldn't be favorites to win the division now. @allblackraven I think they're trying to make that move too. Wouldn't surprise me if they went after Brown either. Hurt two teams in the division and strengthen yours while getting info.
 
No way Steelers trade Brown to Browns.

Also I agree thr Browns and Ravens are easily favorites in North but that just started. They should still have infinite cap from years of Brownsing it up.

It's been reported they were in the race for AB but I don't think anybody can beat the Raiders offer, too many 1st round picks.

They have the money and good enough pieces to where all of Bakers rookie deal is essentially a window now. Wouldn't be shocked to see them make a move a S in FA or pursue Mosley. Stack the offense thru trades and worry about defense in the draft.
 
We're fucked if Baker has OBJ and Landry to throw too.

Njoku, Calloway and Higgins. Hunt and Chubb in the backfield. GODDAM that's a disgusting offense, if that move's made. Hell, it's still good without him. If they land Beckham or AB we're in serious shit if we don't grab one of these FA S.

I think CJ gone. Look no further than guys like McPhee, Kruger and Ellerbe. Cap wasn't in the best spot, but THOSE guys got PAID. Trying to retain CJ and letting him test FA was dangerous.
