6m per year is ridiculous, but it says something that he is revered leaguewide as the leagues best blocking TE and was in high demand, if other teams were willing to pay 6m per year then we can’t be complete idiots considering that our offense gets far more impact from a savvy blocking TE than any other team and it’s not even close

And lo and behold we supposedly gave Nicky Boyle a 3 year $18 million deal.
It prob won't come out to that total but a press conference for a third string tight end? What are our priorities?

I highly doubt the contract comes out to $6 million a year. All about the guaranteed money...

I'm surprised, but not hurt that the presser is for Boyle today. I guess I just never considered him because of (1) the reported interested in him and (2) our interest in Dwayne Allen. $6M per year looks like a lot on the surface, but they've made it clear that they believe he's a key component in Roman's scheme.

10m in guaranteed money. Wtf. Paying starting money to a blocking TE I'm done. I thought DeCosta said he wants to handle the salary cap better i.e reasonable.
6m a year seems like a lot but I suppose in the grand scheme of the position tight end has not become more expensive for the team in that sense because Hayden and Andrews are still in rookie deals

He who shall not be named is reporting that we're trying to lock up Pierce and Judon as well. Also reporting that we want Mathieu and Cordarelle Patterson in FA.

not only that, but the guarantees probably include the first year contract. Not sure about the totals though. I'll wait til the contract details come out.
