Ravens Ring of Honor
ET3 would be slightly above Troy for me. And Eric Berry in his prime was on the same level.
I never realized how many people really don't have Troy that high which is nuts to me.

I have him pretty damn high. He fully deserves to be a hall of famer and he was a game changer. I just have a small handful of other safeties that high too. Berry had the type of big play effect Troy did, was the heart of that defense, and in his prime could shut down Gronk. ET3 is the best single high safety since Reed, and even the legion of Boom looked a lot weaker when he wasn't on the field. Them and Rod would be the only other people I'd have on that level since 2000.I never realized how many people really don't have Troy that high which is nuts to me.
I thought that Troy was crazy athletic. He was amazing to watch because of his athletic ability. With that said, I love hard hitting safeties and Troy was never that for me like Bernard "Bonecrusher" Pollard was. I personally place more value in a range covering Free Saftey like Ed Reed more so than a strong safety like Troy.I never realized how many people really don't have Troy that high which is nuts to me.
I always say which player would you rather have on your team, and I watched Tom Brady torch the Steelers for a decade and watched him struggle to put up more than 2 TD drives against us in the same stretch, I know who I’m taking, the one that makes the GOAT shit his pants when he sees himThere really is no way to compare since one was more a traditional center fielder type and the other played more tight. All I know is Ed got in on the 1st ballot. Will Troy??
Even Belichick talks up Reed as an all time great.I always say which player would you rather have on your team, and I watched Tom Brady torch the Steelers for a decade and watched him struggle to put up more than 2 TD drives against us in the same stretch, I know who I’m taking, the one that makes the GOAT shit his pants when he sees him
I agree totally. Troy was clearly better than berry and had more natural playmaker knack than berry and impacted and changed many big moments. If we comparing troy to berry, its not even close.. no way anyone should even consider berry being a better player than troy.
Ed reed is def the GOAT... the closest thing toI agree totally. Troy was clearly better than berry and had more natural playmaker knack than berry and impacted and changed many big moments.
Ed Reed is my GOAT and I don’t think it’s biased, I say he’s he GOAT because with guys like Troy and Lott, you can either have game changing plays like pick sixes better than anyone has ever done, or you can rack up tackles short of the sticks, I’m taking the game changers and a presence that makes premiere QBs avoid half of the field, but Troy is in my top 3. I never saw Lott play live, so I can’t give an edge either way, but I saw both berry and Troy, and Troy to me is clearly the better safety
I saw Lott play for his entire career and he was one tough ass dude. I think of him like I think of Reed. An unfair advantage, kind of like having an extra man on the field. Lets also not forget that he played CB before converting to S in 1985.I agree totally. I hate to bring up his name, but darren sharper was a beast alsoI saw Lott play for his entire career and he was one tough as dude. I think of him like I think of Reed. An unfair advantage, kind of like having an extra man on the field. It's really hard to compare them because of the generations they played in, but I don't feel one is better than the other. I do believe Troy isn't as good as Rod Woodson though, so he would be in my top 5, but not top 3.
I agree brother. I was such a huge fan of Ronnie Lott. I thought there would never be another one as good as he was and then Ed Reed came along. I have went back and forth on who was better and I finally decided, who cares, I am just a huge fan of both!I saw Lott play for his entire career and he was one tough ass dude. Rod Woodson was a corner for most of his career though and converted to safety with the ravens. You can’t really count him among the GOAT safeties just because he didn’t play there long enoughI saw Lott play for his entire career and he was one tough ass dude. this is very true. Lott became a Safety in 85 about five years into his 15 year career.Rod Woodson was a corner for most of his career though and converted to safety with the ravens. You can’t really count him among the GOAT safeties just because he didn’t play there long enough
That’s incredibly strange because he had surefire handsdeebo samuel has been dropping alot of passes in camp..
He had his shares of drops in college too. He had good hands but that was one of his knocks. That’s incredibly strange because he had surefire hands
I can’t recall any drops at all, but I stopped evaluating him back around February so maybe I just forgotHe had his shares of drops in college too. He had good hands but that was one of his knocks.
He'll turn into a #1 WR eventually in my eyes, but he has some work to do.
