Generator at TDN. This would make me pretty happy

Although I wanted badly to take butler or harmon at 22 but Jacobs was so much higher on their board.. if I stuck to my own board I take butler or harmon or Jenkins and then draft Benny snell in like the sixth because that’s how far he fell here

Remember when I touted the fuck outta Jerry Tillery and everyone was all meh.. pff did a head to head mock yesterday with Tillery going I think 12th, with them saying that Tillery has an extremely high pass rush grade similar to Chris Jones who they also touted as a top ten talent. Reinforces my feeling on Tillery a bit, especially knowing that I had Chris Jones pretty highly graded, although not top ten

He has always shown respect to the Ravens, so Kiper is okay with me.
Kiper is awesome. Baltimore through and through. He is the absolute original draft geek. He used to spend hours on the telephone every day paying long distance in order to reach a trainer or assistant coach from some Podunk university. he did this stuff in an internet free world before anyone else had the gumption.

I agree - I refuse to dis anyone in the national media with his profile who is a staunch supporter of Baltimore football.

I think he gets heat for every poor prediction because of his profile as The Mock Guru. He basically created a cottage industry and that can't be forgotten. The enthusiasm he brings to the entire process is great and he's fun to listen to.

Interesting that he only projects one of the OTs in the to 50 to be a OG at the next level (Jonah Williams). Ford was still projected as RT and was 5th O line on his list, behind Bradbury, who is well above (#22) the only other C on his list (Erik McCoy #40).

WR - Marquise Brown (#16) and D.K. Metcalf (#17) are widely separated from the next group - Ridley (#36), Brown (#37) and Neal (#42)

The more I think about it, the less likely I think it is that we end up with a WR for our 1st pick, unless we trade back significantly - even possibly in the 2nd round. I see a lot of mocks where people are force-mocking a WR to us and giving us a guy that rarely if ever appears in the 1st round in other mocks. That's the definition of a reach and I don't think we're going to do that.

I remember when he gave Bill Polian the business for selecting Trev Albert really high and the back and forth that went on between the 2 which got pretty nasty. Kiper was spot on about that lol

funny thing is PFF is also comparing Simmons to Chris Jones. I have a feeling Simmons ends up at the bottom of the 1st. I like Tillery as well. In the 2nd round of the FM, I was looking at both Tillery and Simmons and Tillery went before my pick, which didn't matter because I have Simmons rated higher.

Ya I’ve seen media say they’d be surprised if it’s not a WR in the 1st, but I honestly feel the opposite. I don’t see it happening because Ravens just don’t value the position highly (and other teams do) so most prospects are gonna go before what they think they’re worth. I mean I totally understand it’s a huge need, but it’s almost always a huge need that they never address.

Also, there’s no complete WRs in this class just ones that win in limited areas. They all come with some decent risk and development needed. There is no sure fire, pro ready receiver like Calvin Ridley was last year. I still can’t believe we took Hurst over him, that was literally the perfect chance for us to grab a young WR (Already refined, wins with speed/routes, decent value, from Bama). Metcalf would be great if he falls to 22, but that’s very unlikely. It’s much more likely the FO waits until day two and three to take a few swings and hope one develops

I mocked Tillery I believe with my first mock of this offseason.

I think DT first round is kind of a crazy proposition, so I stopped mocking stuff like that, I just really like tillerys game and think he would bring more impact to this team than any edge rusher we could get at 22, I think he’s a future perennial pro bowler; and yes I think Simmons is a better talent as well, but the ravens almost certainly have him off their board

If you think back to this time a year ago, a lot of people thought Ridley was a future bust... they were idiots and thought so for idiotic reasons, but yeah, that crowd existed and it was a big one, actually a lot of that crowd was ravens fans because dj Moore was the Maryland guy that everyone wanted and so they had to bash Ridley to convince everyone that Moore was better:..

I say that to say this... there are guys in this class that are pro ready, health willing, Deebo Samuel is essentially guaranteed to be a versatile and impact player, Riley Ridley is probably gonna be a solid af #2 from day one, and in my eyes harmon and JJAW are pretty safe bets to at least become real deal #2s and red zone specialists
