Le'Veon Bell

I don’t hear that chatter anywhere else besides from zrebiec. Wonder how much of it is true.
I want to see how fit he is as well. Rumor has it he blew up to 260..

"There’s a lot of buzz in Indianapolis about Le’Veon Bell and the Ravens. They clearly need a player like him, but at what cost? https://t.co/nH7Twa45Pm"

I can't read the article, but buzz doesn't necessarily mean we're a favorite, does it?

does zrebiec say this comes from particular sources - because ive seen nothing from any other outlet or media person beyond speculation about fit etc.

Is Bell going to give us a discount just so he can get revenge on his old team twice a year? I don't really see how this could work for us when we have a lot of other needs that require attention. A far better option would be to get Ajayi or Tevin in FA and/or draft another back in the draft. Also, even though Gus Bus isn't really a bonafide starter, I would still feel a lot more comfortable going into next season with him and Dixon than I did last year with Collins (was always kinda worried about his ball security and it showed up again in his limited playing time this past season).

I don't believe Bell would be fiscally responsible and I don't think his patient running style would work in our RPO system. In regards to Ajayi, although he'd fit our system to a T, he may not be ready to play due to tearing his ACL. Tevin Coleman would be a better option than Ajayi due to the injury history, but another player to consider would be T.J. Yeldon. He has similar numbers to Coleman and will most likely cost less. My first choice would be to draft a running back.

Yeldon is a FA too? I remember people calling him a "poor-man's Leveon" when he was coming into the league. He'd be a good fit to take over the pass-catching role if we can't get Tevin.

I mean I’m not all in on bell by any means but I don’t think Tevin Coleman’s a particularly good runner of the football and I’m not a big fan of Ajayi either

If we got bell I’d be pretty damn excited

I don’t necessarily want him but if we ended up with him I’d be jazzed

I'd support Bell if we got him, but I'm just worried that it would negatively impact other areas of our team and would handicap us for the next several years. The FO better have a good plan in place if they're seriously considering Bell because Decosta claimed that he was going to be responsible with the cap.

I don’t know why you’d sign a RB to 15+ million a year when you can get a younger and significantly cheaper player in the draft.

We need to get away from the RPO crap. Lamar doesn’t have the frame for it. We shouldn’t let that deter us from signing Bell who would be monsterous in both the run AND pass game and be an excellent safety valve for Lamar like Rice was for Flacco. Lamar, Bell and D.K. have me salivating.

by the end of the year we weren't running many RPOs or zone read plays at all -

Just saw Tavon Young’s agent has a good rapport with DeCosta and that same agent just happens to represent Bell. I don’t care what anyone says, Lamar and Bell in the backfield would be amazing.
