9-7 may not get us in, due to the Colts having the easiest remaining games. I agree we need to win this game because next week is unlikely.

Is it that easy? I have them losing 3 maybe 4 of there last 5. Dallas and Houstom are probably a loss; @Tennessee is very losable, and the jags are not as bad as their record and Giants are getting hot on offense

Humphrey has just been a monster this year though, he’s being targeted and still isn’t giving up plays. Sure jimmy isn’t even being targeted really but it’s Julio so he’s gonna get targets, do we want jimmy who has been untested this year or Humphrey who’s been tested and has lived up to the challenge almost every time?
In the first half, mix it up. Have Humphrey cover him a few times and Jimmy cover him a few times. In the second half, stick with who looked better.

If I'm a Colts fan I feel much more comfortable with our remaining schedule. Most likely lose to Chargers and Chiefs with a good chance to lose to Falcons. Also, we've dropped one to the Browns and they are playing better now.

To be fair to Jimmy, Hopkins was pushing off a lot that game and not getting called for anything.

Speaking of pushing off....I'm still bitter about that loss we had in Atlanta when Roddy White pushed off on Josh Wilson. Fuck the Falcons.
Jimmys injury was a problem then, he had been playing with tendinitis for weeks and that was when it started to show, and as other noted hop was pushing off a lot

let me say this first, i love jimmy. and that injury that i forgot about definitely played a part, but hopkins is a MAN in this league, he was definitely pushing off at the top of his routes, but all WRs do it, its part of the game. it was a combo of his route running, pushing off, and his physicality. it wasnt a good matchup for jimmy at the time considering everything imo if jimmy was fully healthy as was hopkins, i still think hopkins wins that battle overall. and please leave that atl push off in the past, i live down here and friends of mine still talk about that lol

Since jimmy hit his stride in 2013, I have not seen a single wr get the best of him when he’s healthy. Not goddamn once, healthy jimmy has literally shut down everyone he’s faced, it’s when he’s playing injured or recovering from a lingering injury.

Prime and healthy jimmy(and he was prime before the tendinitis) may legitimaely be the best cb in the league. It is such a shame he can’t stay healthy. We’re talking legit perennial first team all pro level of talent, in the mix for least targets and lowest passer rating allowed on targets type of guy

Hopkins is a beast, but I still think he should have gotten called for a couple of OPIs in that game. Receivers don't often get that amount of space when facing Jimmy regardless of his health at the time.

And I just can't leave that ATL push-off in the past. Every time we play them, I can remember it vividly: it was a Thursday night game, I was at the bar with some friends (I didn't have NFL Network at the time or I would have stayed home to watch), and White is just running free to the endzone after shoving Wilson out of the way. Fucking refs just acting like nothing happened....It's a painful memory lol

Humphrey has given up plays you just simply can’t say he hasn’t at all, even a couple TDs. I don’t want Humphrey anywhere near Julio fucking Jones if we have Jimmy on the team. Humphrey is good but not great yet. I’m fine with Humphrey on AB and guys like that but Julio will take advantage of him. I’ll take Jimmys experience over Humphrey.

Let’s hope your right. Where do they play the Cowboys?

Yeah.
Plus, Humphrey on Ridley sounds like fun.

I agree—put Humphrey on Ridley and shadow Julio with Jimmy. I just realized it could be Alabama vs Alabama with Averett on Ridley and Humphrey on Jones lol

i agree, and jimmy is extremely underrated because of his injuries, just wish he wasnt hurt so much, because that would have been a great battle.. honestly imo i dont think anyone in the nfl cant completely shut down d hop, especially not in todays game. guess we'll never know

Besides his injuries, he's only underrated to casuals who don't follow the Ravens that closely. Hell, I'll include the media too because they usually cater to the casuals. If Jimmy played in a big market or a media darling, I guarantee he'd get more love from the media.

If jimmy had a mouth like Ramsey or Sherman he would’ve made the pro bowl every year that he finished healthy.

Other from his off-the-field issue during training camp/preseason with his ex, the only time I remember Jimmy made some headlines is when he basically sent a warning to OBJ not to do anything extra after the whistle.

And I love that, because jimmy has been quiet and humble his whole career yet beating the brakes off of damn near any WR who lines up across him, to hear him speak up when facing who may be the best and loudest wr in the league is awesome. He basically said try me bitch, lol.
