If the Colts lose, then we control our destiny. A colts loss, a Texans win, or a Steelers loss gives us control over our destiny in the final week.

This is correct. Only in case ALL of these happen:

Steelers win out
Colts win today
Texans lose out

we are out even if we beat the Browns. Those 3 conditions ^^ aren't too far fetched though unfortunately.

Uh, that is correct - it only helps if they beat Titans week 17 (if the Steelers win out and Texans lose out).

It will help, so we're definitely rooting for NYG, but it will not create a situation where we control our destiny going into week 17. If HOU loses out and TEN wins next week, we could still get squeezed out

We have the head to head tie breaker with the Titans. If both us and them go 10-6, then we get in. Titans only get in if we lose and they win next week.

Perriman really needed a change in scenery. He still wasn't worth a first round pick, but he is showing to be a good WR3 to have.
