He took some more massive hits again today. He needs to get out of balance. When is he going to listen when he gets hurt? When you get the first the difference in a yard is nothing in the first quarter. What is the end game with him???

He played horrible, no question, but When we had zero chance he brought the game within 1 TD of a win with enough time to get the ball one last time, and the edge broke down almost immediately on him on our last shot.

That’s not boosting stats or garbage time, that was literally a rally. Trust me the chargers with their really good defense and elite pass rush and secondary aren’t out there letting us make it a game. That’s just bullshit.
They played off Man and let us hit underneath. They acted like dean was the DC. He had a really nice throw to Crabtree and the escape to Dixon. But he also threw an easy pick that we were lucky to get dropped. They played flawless in the last what 6 minutes, but it didn’t mean anything in the end.

Don’t remember one in January though. He looked frustrated on the sidelines not to go in, even put his helmet on to show he was ready. After the first half and start of second half it was clear the change was justified!
He did that multiple januaries, his first 2 januaries actually

They played off man and lamar threw. Perfect fade over the top, a coverage designed to stop that throw. He escaped some sacks and made some really nice throws on the move. He made plays at the end, and the almost pick was questionable as a no call on PI

Didn’t see a replay on the big screen of the pi so I don’t know if it was telegraphed or a bad throw or what. I don’t understand how nothing worked early when a lot didn’t seem to change

Proud of this kid. Tough game but they battled back.

Also happy with the choice to keep him in. He’ll only get better.

Do you not remember the London game against the Jags, or the Bills game when he threw 5 picks?
Of course he doesn’t. Apologists will always think he’s a god. I’m just happy we’re getting a pick for him this offseason.

I Still love Joe but to ignore the horrific games he has had against lesser teams than a Elite pass rushing team like the Chargers is just silly, We are all heart broken but come on man

Seriously? I don’t like Flacco. I don’t think he should have started in any game post bye. It’s been well documented his lack of emotion pisses me off. I said lamar needs to benched because he put up literally the worst half of playoff football recorded by a qb in the last 50 years. Flacco got benched vs
The jags, and the entire team got dominated that day. We were only down 12 by halftime.

All I can take away from the game is that the team wasn’t good enough by 6 points

Defense played out of their minds. Losing Chris Moore in the KR game hurt—there were some opportunities out there today.

Marty didn’t do Lamar any favors with the game plan but he was clearly overwhelmed early and it took one drive too many for him to settle in.

James Hurst got WORKED. From a talent perspective, this team is an LG and an OC (Greg Roman + an innovating passing assistant) away from contending for the ‘ship.

The Lamar 'apologists' just can't be reasoned with.

Why do people use that idiotic word, 'apologists'? Like we're supposed to be ashamed that we back our players no matter what?

Are you sure we are getting a pick? We're not going to keep him on that salary and all the teams know that.

It’s a weak QB market and QB draft. Teams might be desperate enough, a la the Jags or Giants

Yeah, but that Pittsburgh defense in the 2009 AFC Championship Game was way better than today’s Chargers and he was injured when he played the Patriots in the playoffs in 2010.

Lamar can't even carry the ball to a RB without fumbling, much less carrying this team on his back to a SB like Flacco did, not to mention countless other occasions. Cry about 'apologists' all you want, Lamar was trash today and LAC exposed him. Unless he learns how to play QB, those Tebow comparisons are going to becoming scarily accurate very quickly.
That isn't what any of us here wants, but that is the very real reality that we are facing. Warm wishes and hopes and dreams aren't going to change that reality.
