Early in the process to me is when the best reads are made.

The combine clouds everything with "potential" whereas now all we have raw game tape to show what a player IS
You still need to take everything into account. There are some useful excercses at the combine and I’m not talking about the 40

Beau Benzschawel Is a guy I like, but he's so scheme limited and is not a great athlete so he might pull an Orlando Brown. Tape suggests first rounder but since the combine is so important for some reason he might go as late as the third.

Do think he's an ideal fit but so's Ford and Gallard. And if you really want Lamar to stay upright next season, you take at least two of them. I do think Bozeman is a future starter but Yanda isn't getting any younger.

Damn it and here this whole time I thought Yanda was getting younger.

If no-one has claimed Terrone Prescod (left guard, NC State) as "their guy", I'll go ahead and do it.
Massive guard : six- five 334 lbs.

Mostly concentrating on him in the run game right now and he is wrecking ball. A finisher that collapses on down blocks and destroys guys one on one. Just nasty. A little stiff athletically but takes great angles on second level blocks and does what he's supposed to do.....destroys db's and linebackers (most of the time).

Gets out of his stance quickly in pass protection and is difficult to beat. Locks onto his guys and blocks to whistle's end. Surprisingly good feet in space....works to stay In front of pass rush Is susceptible at times on tape to stunts and delayed blitzes. Appears to tire in fourth quarter vs. Syracuse. Comes out ( and then returns0 in two of the three games I've watched. Not sure about injury history. level of completion as a concern bears watching.

Love what I've seen

I really want Nate Davis on this team, he’s an absolute powerhouse, accurate on moving blocks, struggles with foot Placement on pass sets but that appears coachable, and his stance needs work, but otherwise he should be another dominant run blocker in the mold of a KO/Grubbs/mulitalo

Harbaugh to decosta in the war room: I think we should roll with hurst and skura again, hearts of lions.

The entire offensive staff to harbaugh:

Erik McCoy had a great week at the SB and his tape confirms it. Really solid player with good feet, good strength and good technique. Major sleeper.

Seen him play in his teams bowlgame and when you see a center pull and get around the edge to the 2nd level and lay a block that's some serious talent and this was happening all game long. In the Senior Bowl in the vanilla style he was sealing off bigger guys and turning them I was very impressed which showed solid strength and good anchorbility. If not a center for us he definitely would become our starting LG which to me this is the position that needs the most versatility with regards to pulling, straightline blocking and pass protection. I've been trying to hype this guy.

I can't get away from Elgton Jenkins. Really resets and anchors with ease...nearly impossible to move. I like him very much in pass protection. He can solo on massive and athletic tackles in the run game as well. Imagine having a center that doesn't need help in the ground game. imagine how that frees up Yanda and Brown on the right side.

Some areas he might improve:
I would like him to stay on blocks longer. For all the talk of how nasty he is, it doesn't manifest itself in that manner. He struggles a little in space...most notably on second level blocks and he seems a little hesitant dealing with delays and stunts. Terrible execution of cut blocks.
He’s a guy I can’t really move on from either, I try but I really think he’s just the bestcenter in the class.

My favorite guard in the class though, and I might get some hate for this, is Nate Davis. I mean Chris Lindstrom is actually my favorite but I think he’s gonna go in a range where we can’t logically get him, and For Davis I have a high second round grade but think he could very well end up falling to us in the third

Nothing wrong with having your guy in this class, as long as you know you're higher on him than most. Haven't studied Davis btw so I'm neutral there.

He’s fun to watch. He’s playing tackle at Charlotte but he’s clearly not a tackle, he’s 6’3”and iirc somewhere in the 330s, and he has a few shortcomings but he is an absolute powerhouse. Like you see a slow drop back in pass protection and what not, but again he shouldn’t be playing tackle. Feet don’t always stay square when they should also. Biggest concern is easily his stance and how he comes out of it, he’s so girthy that he doesn’t have that good knee bend and forward lean in his stance, he’s kinda just coiled up with his ass almost on the ground, if he can lose a inch or 2 from his gut that might clear up. But his upside is great, he is probably the most powerful drive blocker in the class, he lands those hands consistently and flattens his back and he puts guys on skates so consistently. When he lands a moving block it should come with sound effects, because he rocks the living shit out of guys.

Yeah definitely take a look at him, some stuff could be improved but his physical tools are just retarded

where does he line up?

Edgar

Ravens Ring of Honor
At RT where he’s clearly out of position, the wide pass pro drops needed at OT are far from his strong suit, he’s not really slow footed he just lacks the length to execute on wide pass sets
I'll check him. Have you watched Terrone Prescod?

I don't think of him as a sleeper. He is very good. He isn't the anchor in pass protection that Jenkins is but he's very smart, very sound technically and very very good on the move and in getting to second level blocks.

With you studying all of these players it makes no sense why you aren’t signed up for the forum mock. No sense at all. Lol
