I think there is no more tired a take than the whole "rust" thing and whether Harbaugh has made some terrible mistake.

Ingram and Andrews both were injured and couldn't play week 17 anyway. Lamar looked sick as a dog on the sidelines and missed the first half of the week practice with a stomach bug. Other than that ... what ...so, is Yanda gonna forget how to play the position of LG, or Earl forget how to play S? Does an LT really get rusty? Please.

If we do start off slow, oh wait to hear the howling from the analysts on how Harbaugh screwed up. Look at week 16. We started off slow ... was it because of rust? I'm pretty sure we played the previous week. Can you really say any slow start will be due to rust?

I hear no other team being talked about and the overwhelming majority of our roster had no more rest than KC, GB or SF. Its truly annoying.

if it were such a problem then teams wouldnt want to be the 1 or 2 seeds ever for fear of being rusty - no one thinks of it as a problem coming out of the regular season bye either - its only been brought up as a potential issue because we rested like 8 players in week 17 too - 2 of whom were injured and 1 had the flu anyway

Yeah not like we’re dismissing you guys as not being any sort of potential challenge. However realize were a fan base that has witnessed a 12 game win streak in which we’ve taken down 5 different playoff teams and absolutely destroyed many of the teams we faced.

You have Henry and he’s awesome. We have the top rushing team in the history of the NFL. Despite that we are also balanced ... the 1st team in NFL history to average 200 yards passing and 200 yards rushing per game. Oh and the top ranked defense since they transformed themselves after week 4 when the streak started.

You can say that doesn’t mean anything now ... but it is evidence that we’re pretty fucking good.

My guess is gus Edwards gets the bulk on the reps, and if Ingram’s services are needed he’ll be called upon and we will see how he responds.

I’m not expecting some all downhill gut punch of a rush attack, I think we’re gonna spread them out as much as possible, Casey is a load, Evans is a load, and byard is a strong coverage safety, but their defense outside of that is questionable at best, adoree Jackson can be had, kamalei Correa is the guy i expect to see directly victimized often in this game, he may get benched by halftime, he’s so wildly undisciplined and can not contain or set an edge to save his life and he’s gonna cost the titans dearly as we spread them out and attack their edges and make them chase us all day.

their strength is clearly the 2 men in the middle and we do a hell of a job scheming away from strengths and dominating literally everywhere else on the field, if we made Aaron Donald and Michael brockers COMPLETE non factors, then I feel goddamn good about making Simmons and Casey non factors, Rashaan Evans is the guy that’s gonna be a [profanity deleted] to avoid, but I feel strongly that he won’t be such a load when we start to open it up and attack them in the air.

another thing I’m hoping is that pees does what he does and doesn’t allow for shadowing, keep marquise brown away from adoree Jackson, guys like Roberts and Boykin and Snead can bully Jackson often, but Jackson is one of the few in this league who can run with Hollywood.

we need lots of moving from Hollywood to keep him away from adoree Jackson, we need to convince them that they HAVE to shadow Hollywood, we need to take Hollywood to the deep boundaries and keep byard away from the hashes, and then drop a shitstorm upon their linebackers heads with our tight ends and anytime you see man coverage god dammit Lamar you do one of 2 things, you call it hot to Hollywood and go deep, or you extend the play until all back are turned and you gash them with the scramble

I hope Pees does his traditional 2-gap DL and no 1-gap systems and takes his DL out of the game for us. I haven’t watched any Titans games but that was his calling card here. And the lack of shadowing WR, as you said. I’m most worried about their offense versus our defense. I know we’ve improved but their OL and Henry are damn good. Tannehill is just good enough to do well with Henry and that OL with their Brown. That’s the real deciding factor in this game for me. Our defense better hold. Our reliance on the secondary is probably my biggest fear because we do have issues with the outside contain. Hopefully Ward can do some nice work for us there or it’ll be a long day. It’ll be interesting to see which rushing attack wins the game since both teams are that smash mouth first team.

I don’t see aj brown doing jack shit against our dbs, I stand firm by this statement; you won’t consistently make plays against the ravens unless you can beat press coverage from excellent press corners, and then run away from with straight up speed. I don’t think brown can do that.

I only worry about Humphrey with a penalty (he has these every game it seems every now and then) and Peters not making the tackle or Thomas overpursuing and taking himself out of the play. I agree that Henry could cause issues on the screen, but Lewis could also do some damage there in a Mostert role

Jayon Brown, probably the Titans best cover linebacker is likely out for Saturday's game - that's big - Rashaan Evans is much better coming downhill than in coverage and wesley woodyard is very much not a cover type linebacker either - this is a unit that's repeatedly had problems covering tight ends and now likely missing their best option in that regard - we already have the advantage in that area but this is good news for us if it holds

And here I always thought Dean Pees defenses excelled at stopping TEs...

that was a big loss for them. Gets hurt, shakes it off only to get hurt I think the next play. I don't see this defense being able to put up much of a fight against us. The only way I see this game being close is "rust" and some early TOs.

I strongly urge you to simply become a real member of the flock and be the anti troll. You'll experience bliss that only a Lamar Jackson team can give you. As for paying attention to your team, sure. We pay attention to every team we play and respect them. We understand the NFL is the classic 'any given sunday' league. But you don't also run into the Ravens offense any given sunday. This is a lethal operation that can attack you multiple ways as well. So, good luck and stay a member of the flock and support us past Saturday night. The flock is growing with the carcasses of fans whose teams we put out of their misery.
