As great as a pass rusher or WR would be, I'm really starting to fall in love with some other positions at 27 if we stick there. Teven Jenkins is a dog and would fit right in there at G with maybe an eye toward T when OBJ leaves next year. Also love Grant and Moehrig at S. I feel like Grant in particular is a guy that isn't getting the media hype right now but will probably get some as we get closer and the media starts hearing things.
in terms of a non-"need" position - idk about 27 - looking at who i've got graded in the first round it's only 10 of the 26 players who aren't OL/EDGE/Receiver and 4 of them are QBs... 7 receivers, 6 OL and 3 EDGE got 1st round grades from me
if i look at the early 2nd round grades it's a bit different though - still a lot of OL there too (5) but only 1 receiver and 1 edge
I don't love this safety class although i do like the top 3 (to me that's Grant, Moehrig and Washington - washington might fall on draft day though because he's not tested amazingly athletically and obviously lacks that size)
but i really like this CB class - absolutely stacked
If i look at how many prospects i've got graded somewhere on day 2 or higher:
15 EDGE
13 CB - and there's at least 4 highly-touted guys i havent watched or graded yet so this number could go higher
23 OL (13 OT, 7 OG, 3 C - i've got at least 3 highly-touted tackles left to watch too)
16 WR
there's obviously players that i've missed (because i've not been enthused) but i've only got 6 safeties, 8 LB, 5 DL, 5 RB, 2 TE graded day 2 or higher (tight end is awful this year)
worth pointing out that a couple of those LBs may be better suited to play SAM as well too...
i think WR is stacked in round 4 too
