The Random Thought Thread

Idk if anyone on this board knows who this is, but Mike Tagliere of Fantasy Pros game just passed away from a long battle with Covid. He leaves behind a wife and 2 kids, an 18 year old daughter and a 4 year old son…
 
That’s now 2 deaths that’s happened in the past week for me from someone I know or someone I knew of. They say it happens in 3’s. A HS friend of mine was on his honeymoon in FL when he got into an accident with a drunk driver. He sadly passed away last week. The guy had only just begun married life

Sadly I can relate to this. Although the person it happened to was much closer to me. 25 years old
 
Anyone going to the Dolphins game? Thinking about making the short trek to Miami and hanging out until Saturday.

In Boston this week as we arrived yesterday and won't be leaving until Wed 9/29.

Anyway we are on 95 and i just saw the escort bus for Mizzou as they are playing or played Boston College this weekend. They were getting a police escort.

Absolutely, I’ve been extra fucked up about it for this exact reason man, I’ve gotten reclusive over the years and I know I needed to be there for him, and I wasn’t. since we lost him I’ve been trying to keep better contact with the very few people I consider real friends, can’t lose another one and feel like I didn’t do enough, not again

wow, so sorry to hear this. It's never easy losing someone close to you.

My wife and I have known over 40 people with Covid and 3 that passed away. One of our friends who happened to live is 56 years old, was on the vent for 8 weeks, has permanent nerve damage in her right hand and is still relearning how to walk. She is living in an assisted living and has been there for a year. Really sad.
