The Frustrating, The Bad and The Ugly - Lions Edition

I believe in this team big picture, but as of now I don’t think we have our shit together.

I do look at these 3 games and see this team getting calloused and battle tested early, and facing big adversity and still managing to come out with wins, and this is all while we’re going through a terrible string of injuries and covid losses, and trying to gel with a bunch of guys who went straight to the active roster without even a full week of practice. I see Lamar putting the team on his back week in and week out, and I also see the defense struggling to finish because of the lack of rotation.

I know all of this can work itself out partially in the long run, but I don’t see our tackles holding up next week vs the Broncos and it’s gonna
Make this a VERY hard game
I didn’t have a good feeling about today’s game. The guy’s had been through mucho shite the first two games, both emotionally and physically, and I thought they might have a tough time getting it up for the Lions.

I hear what you’re saying about the line, but I think they scheme to help them out and we make it through. Plus playing at Mile High we’ll be in field goal range just by taking a touchback. lol

Chubb is on IR so it's just Miller we have to worry about and with the way we ran our offense against Jones I think we should be just fine against Denver
I didn’t know that about Chubb, that’s a big break, but Miller is a totally different animal than Jones, Jones is a 3tech playing edge out of necessity and has no business playing as the read vs Lamar Jackson, von Miller is much more inclined to handle that

Not saying it wasn't still a poor decision, but Lamar's INT is certainly interesting when you look at what Hollywood did. Almost looked like Lamar threw it up and was hoping Hollywood would come back and fight for it, but he cut upfield and took himself out of the play completely. We know he doesn't like contact so the result would have probably been the same, but always makes you wonder what if he had come back and tried to make a play on the ball.

I got a different feel but I get what you’re saying, I think Lamar was trying to throw it over the top and put Hollywood in a foot race, but he couldn’t step into the throw at all and floated it way high and short and Hollywood just kinda stood there

look at what crosby and ngakoue did to our tackles in week 1 - and von miller is quicker, more savvy and more explosive... im just glad he mostly rushes over the RT so it's not him vs Villanueva because that might be a bloodbath

also lamar knows that it's 3rd and long so we're punting if we don't convert there anyway and he had no outlet to scramble around - basically had a free shot to nothing...

if we complete it we live again
if it falls incomplete then we punt
if it's intercepted then it's a slightly shorter punt

but only by throwing that ball did we even have a chance of extending that drive in that situation

It’s a shame I don’t have a Tucker jersey yet. He won my heart.

We were at the game in Las Vegas and Tucker was probably the second most popular jersey, behind Lamar. I couldn't imagine any other kicker ever having that kind of support. Strange to see a kicker's jersey on so many people, but understandable. My wife was wearing hers.

Naw rossi, i dnt think lamar was thinking that at all. Even if he came out and said it, its not believable lol.he really threw a prayer

We are a few plays away from being 0-3, given all the shit that has gone down we probably had good reason to be there. But here we are at 2-1 we will get a few players back and a few of our issues sorted hopefully in time for the tough part of the schedule. We've navigated a shitty situation incredibly well.

We were 0.1% chance to win after Lamar got sacked. Never tell me the odds!

An atrocious game from Hollywood. We need him to make plays or bring on Bateman.

he had a poor series with the 2 drops - the rest of that first half he was uncoverable and made plays

a lot of people colouring their opinions of his entire game based on that 1 drive

he fucked up but that doesn’t mean he sucked the whole game

just like Lamar’s INTs against the chiefs last week don’t mean he had an atrocious game either
