The Lamar, The Defense and The Comeback

Yeah that front was just getting casually removed from the line of scrimmage lol, it was ugly

I will say, Campbell played a ton of snaps tonight for a guy his age. Would assume he was gassed, especially with how much they had going early on. Still had some impact though.

Williams was lifeless out there.

duvernay was big early in this game running routes that we'd normally see watkins running so im not super worried

and im 100% confident in bateman - just not sure he'll have the game fitness or chemistry yet to not be somewhat limited to start with

but we also dont know that watkins is out yet - it's possible it was some sort of stinger

Called it a hammy for Watkins and we know how those can go.

One thing I’ll say, and I hate to say it, but if the colts did this to us, I’m straight up scared to play the browns

Can we please keep using the offensive strategy we did tonight? We obviously aren't going to be the big running team with who we have in the backfield, so keep spreading it out and give Lamar throwing lanes. Lamar looks like he could pick apart any defense in the league using a spread offense.

different day and different week. We have to play better defense and come out and play all four quarters.

I wonder if we'll see more no-huddle offense going forward. Seemed to really stress the Colts in the 4th quarter and OT; Lamar was able to sit back and do whatever he wanted.
The funny part is that this game was similar to last season's game against the Colts. In the 3rd, our offense starting to open up once we started to go up-tempo.

Nice to see you on the boards, Raine, haven't seen you around much lately.

Uhhh that isn't for a few weeks. Direct that rightful energy to our next opponent who the Browns' defense got shitted on.

i think ty'son's gone honestly - he doesnt offer anything at this point really tbh - and you just cant trust him to hit the right gap

i think averett will come back from this - he's been playing really conservative this year and the colts took advantage of it

we really need wolfe to get back asap

not sure there's a fix for the LBs - i noticed on some 3rd downs we just took all the LBs off the field and had bowser in as that pseudo-2nd level defender

Ty'Son is clearly the worst back. Freeman showed a little something as a pass catcher.

especially as our entire OL right now aren't really road graders at all - but the vast majority of them are better pass protectors than run blockers which just doubles up that running game disadvantage

zeitler probably the closest to a mauler we've got

been advocating for this since the chiefs game - and my feelings have only got stronger - not saying we have to go no huddle/hurry up and bombs away the whole time but we definitely need to understand that we should be a pass first team

and tbf i think roman realises that looking at how we opened the game - we just started out of rhythm and then tried to get the ground game going and it compounded

ill be the first to put my hands up and say i was completely wrong about devonta - it's clear murray's gonna get the majority of the work inside and i think bell can add something as a rusher too but we've seen devonta be that guy today - looked comfortable in pass pro and timed his leaking out well to be that check down underneath outlet

Lamar had a graphics segment where he wore a cape and the commentators were referring to him as Superman.

that’s not the first time he’s been called Superman this year. Matter of fact, he’s been referred to as Superman by A LOT of analysts and commentators, and it started this year. Lamar is developing a reputation of the Superman of the league.

i dont love it as much as i would if it wasnt what they'd called cam for years

but the connotations of it sure are cool
