The Lamar, The Defense and The Comeback

We should all just take a moment to appreciate the 4-1 record. 3 out of the four have really been improbable endings where you just have to feel that Lamar (and Tucker) have willed it to happen. There could have been such small changes in a play here and there and the team could have been anywhere between 1-4 to 5-0. Kudos to the coaching staff for making hte players give their all for 60 minutes, but I don't think I can completely leave Lady Luck out of the "thank you speech"

Secondary take: I have been disrespecting Gus Edwards. The run game is trash without him.
can't say I've ever disrespected him, but I've heard it from so many that feel we could just pick up any undrafted player instead of signing him. Gus Edwards is a beast and we have him for two more years.

Get well soon Edwards and you too J.K.

must be said that harbs absolutely nailed the end of game scenario and clock management to give us as much time as we need to come back

I’ve been a proponent for a very long time of using timeouts on defense late in the game, you have the ball, you control the clock, don’t let the other team dictate down to the last second.

Had nothing to do with them being gassed. They just got gashed over and over. Started the game that way. It took the Colts playing ultra conservative and some K woes for us to get any stop. D was awful as a whole and there shouldn’t be any excuses.

I’m not arguing this is a good defense but I couldn’t care less if the were “gashed” during that first half. They gave up 10 points and it would have been 7 if not for a stupid penalty by Marlon on the FG try. I’ll take that any day all day.

I’m not sure why people have such unreasonable expectations for this defense considering the age in the DL, inexperience in the line backers, and injuries in the secondary. Get used to a lot more bend but not break

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a defense to tackle or a linebacker to not get completely washed out of a play on a consistent basis or the DL to hold a damn edge. Basic football requests honestly. Yeah they only gave up 10 points but it was still a horrid performance. They were doing whatever they wanted against us all night. We lucked out that Reich wanted to stop testing us for some reason. There are no excuses for that performance though. Nearly the entire defense came out flat and never caught up.

They are not a good defense lol, everyone is getting angry and yelling at me and I’m saying all things considered that could have been much much worse. Also they deserve some credit for holding it down in the first half.

Watch the screen play where Taylor scores, McPhee and Campbell’s attempt to track him down are hilarious. The age of those guys is really going to hurt us later in the season. I’m just saying expect a lot more games where we’re giving up major yards, regardless of Qb, this will be the norm. The key will be stiffening up in the red zone

speaking of which. All the idiot ESPN analysts and social media people who say, but the missed xtra point and fg are forgetting we gave them points on an offsides when they missed a field goal. Always looking for excuses to minimize what Lamar just accomplished.

If Lamar is saving harbaughs job then why do the players genuinely love harbaugh like a second father?

this isn’t Bernard pollard and dez Bryant, these players LOVE playing for the ravens and that’s because harbaugh established this teams culture.

Every coach has bad moments, we really need to stop railing on harbaugh at every hiccup. He’s been an incredible coach and I wouldn’t want anyone else at the helm of my team, I’m proud to have him as my coach.
Speaking of which, the trolls who talk shit about Harbs after a loss seem to have gone ghost. Funny how that works.

You gotta ignore those guys. Everyone on major networks it’s a boob just looking for a hot take to get exposure. They will bash Lamar until he raises the Lombardi. And even still will find a way to bash him. That’s why I never watch those shows

it's like the titans game all over again - people are like lamar couldnt do anything in the playoffs and yes he threw the 2 picks but he also 500+ yards of total offence despite his receivers dropping crucial balls

when people watch lamar lose it's like the stop actually being able to comprehend what they're watching - like a fog comes over their brain and they start seeing stuff that's not there
Has no off-the-field issues, doesn't come across as arrogant, WELL LOVED by his teammates, well respected by his peers across the league. Just seeing the over-the-top comments about him is mind boggling.

also that if they'd got the extra point we most likely just kick our first extra point too rather than going for the 2 pt attempt
