Yeah, the “Joe has a bad work ethic......doesn’t put the time in.......just makes babies.........” is more fake news produced by the people who just don’t like him no matter what he does.

I remember there was a guy on the old boards that went as far as to complain about one of Flacco’s front teeth being discolored. lol Some just can’t stand the fact that a laid back family guy has become a wealthy NFL QB.

I don't care about that dude that much! Damn!

Tbh I was one of those guys that constantly wanted him to put in some xtra time with the receivers and on here and the old board nobody called me out on that. Now on the 2014 column it said they were just planning too and I'm not sure if they did or not but in the 2010 one it looks like they did since Anquan and Stallworth were new receivers.
They did not. Flacco said he would.

CBA rules have not stopped other QBs and receivers from coming together.

like you need a playbook to practice running routes and throwing to receivers lol

just google the NFL route tree and then have the receivers run those routes while you do your dropbacks.

odds are that those routes will be in the new playbook....

We're stuck with Flacco for better or worse, thats why he has no sense of urgency and doesnt feel the need to hold private workouts. Why would he? We still have to pay him and he gets to stay in his comfort zone never improving.

http://ravenswire.usatoday.com/2017...e-flacco-to-put-in-work-during-the-offseason/
His inability to read the clock in the red zone and give up a delay penalty and then not be able to hurry his offense to down a ball to let Tucker try a field goal says it all. He simply doesn't get game time urgency and is incompetent to lead this football team especially with his poor decision making and lack of urgency.

The thing that bothers me with Joe is that he's really just not taking chances. The offense is so incredibly conservative and predicated so much on short passes.

I said it in another thread, but I don't care if a guy is covered 20 yards down the field. Take a few shots and eventually the safeties will be unable to creep up and cheat into the box. Eventually you'll get match ups with tight ends on linebackers or corners instead of safeties. Take a few shots to your men when they're covered. We all know Joe is capable of making throws into incredibly tight windows. We saw it against the Steelers.

I just don't think Joe has any confidence in himself and as a result, the offense just isn't doing its job.

I would rather see the Ravens go three and out because Joe took three shots down the field and failed than the Ravens go three and out because Joe checked down to Allen for a grand total of three yards.

I'm just curious- if Aaron Rodgers were here and was completely healthy, do we think he has the same struggles that Flacco is right now?

No way in hell, he's played beaten up with crappy protection for years and still plays at and elite level, and not a self proclaimed elite level, actual elite. Rodgers is 10 times the QB that Flacco is, probably more.

If Russell Wilson is here, does he do this poorly?

I’d prefer Wilson without a doubt.

Same thing with Wilson, it's like Flacco is playing a completely different sport.
I think you two see where I'm going with this. It doesn't have to be the best quarterback in the game for this offense to work. It can be a guy who's simply above average in Wilson and this offense can work.

The Ravens have a lot of money tied up into veterans for this offense. Let's not pretend Joe has the worst supporting cast ever and excuse his play because of it.

Yep, he’s playing awful and when he has a good game the entire team follows, like last weeks game and last years game vs the Dolphins. Unfortunately it certainly seems those games were aberrations.

no
he would have these same third rate wrs but he'd lay the ball on the spot to them. he would read the d and hit the open man. Rodgers would make any group of receivers better. flacco not so much

Taking chances with these receivers has only lead to drops and picks.
You can only get burned so often until you stop touching that stove.
