Might as well just draft all of Georgia lol

But I always end up picking Araiza with that last pick that we don’t actually have in these things too

lol. Gotta go with winners.

yeah, I noticed this site gave us a 7th rounder we don’t have. Shame. Perfect spot for that SDSU punter

what sort of round do you see him going in?
that makes me think of zaven collins a little and he was obviously a mid-1st rounder - i havent seen that kind of buzz on beavers yet - do you think he'll get that kind of buzz?
I think with a really good combine he'll end up as a second rounder. Mid third round at the latest, as some lb needy team will grab him if he's there in the early third. He doesn't quite have the long speed or hips as a lb like Queen so he probably won't go quite as high.

EDC says they are expecting all of the top 9 draft picks to come from the top 80 on their board if they do it right

EDC says he could already tell you the 3 or 4 players (across different positions) we can/will get at 14 if we stay at that pick - was an answer to a question about pass rushers

obviously EDC a mind-game wizard but from the way he made it sound it very much like we want to move out of that pick - my guess is they've got a lot of similar grades to the guys they think will be there at 14 and will want to recoup some extra draft value and still get someone they like

After listening to EDC talk… if you didn’t know it already, this is going to be one of the most trench heavy drafts in a long time. OL, DL, LB, and DBs galore.

i found this interesting as well. He mentioned 14-20 area so I assumed he wanted to trade back. Which I would love to then use that pick to trade up in the second for Dax Hill lol

i just dont think trading up is realistic - we as fans often love the idea of moving down and moving back up but it's rare a team does it - if you're trading down it's more likely the capital you're getting is another good prospect and when there's no sure things, more high picks is better than fewer even higher picks if that makes sense

and as much as i like dax hill, im not sure im willing to give up picks to go and chase after him

As it should be.

Different simulator to get different results. Kept having some OTs sniped ahead of me, but this would really retool our defense.

Also, let me rave for a second about Araiza. This is a punter absolutely worth a late round pick. His leg is unbelievably strong, kicking a couple 80+ punts. He holds the record for most punts over 50 yards, and in 2021 he had 47% drop inside of the 20. He has the potential to be to punters what Tucker is to kickers. He's the type of punter that coaches like Harbaugh and Belichick dream of.

this!!! The second I saw he said we will probably trade down, I instantly thought oh my god we are trading up

I doubt we’re trading up lol - we know his philosophical feelings about trades in round 1 and that there’s rarely value in it

only time we’d trade up is if we were looking for a QB or if a Chase Young type prospect was falling into our range... well unfortunately there’s no chase Young in this draft and we don’t need a QB so I highly doubt we’re gonna move up

and no need to hide intentions when talking about wanting to trade down - all that tells other teams is that the pick will be open for business on draft night

Is it even worth trading up to grab anyone? Kyle hamilton maybe?

not sure id want to trade up for any safety ever tbh, even kyle hamilton

right now ive only got 5 players with top 10 grades and im not sure any of them are worth trading up for - there's no elite or generational talent to want to go up for tbh

feel like this might be an ideal trade down type draft based on the grades im seeing on my board so far

It's a shame that this is the draft that we get a high pick in. As the talent level drop off after the first few blue chips is so flat I wonder whether anyone will want to trade up/will want to offer much in exchange for moving up.

It sounds weird, but maybe the Steelers if Willis is still around at 14? They're at 20, so fits what EDC was saying about liking the 14-20 range...

I also think the quality of the blue-chip guys is maybe a little lower than in previous years too - only maybe Evan neal stacks up with last year’s class in terms of the major positions - Kyle Hamilton the only thing close to a generational talent

most trade ups in round 1 are either small or for qbs but sounds like Willis is expected right now to end up top 10

so not sure we’ll have to worry about a potential trade with the steelers
