Think we might be looking to trade back in round 1, day 2 is seriously strong in this draft, wouldn’t be shocked to see a 2018/2020 type of class where we have a ton of picks on day 2. Think guys like faalele, leal, Winfrey, Travis jones, jamaree salyer, ebiketie, Tyler smith, raimann, woolen, and plenty others make up a day 2 where decosta just refuses to miss out, too many Excellent prospects to only take one in R2
I mean I think it's the ideal, but (surprise surprise) it depends how the board falls. Top 10 talent? Stay put and make the pick. Otherwise, look to trade back. But I always think the idea of a trade back sounds great, but isn't as easy as it sounds. I know all teams rate players differently, but there's always an assumption that if we get to a point where all of our guys are similarly rated, that other teams aren't in the same boat. We've seen that take place for multiple years now where EDC has said he was holding out for a call but the phone didn't ring.
