Would this really be that bad? It would basically mean Madubuike Oweh and Z have one on one matchups very often
No it wouldn't be bad at all lol. He just carries the stigma of the fat NT that only stop the run which isn't the case. It's not sexy like Sauce or D-Sting but it would be an absolutely phenomenal pick

Ok so here’s the scenario…

Charles cross inexplicably falls to 14.

Obviously we gotta take him.

Cross being a LT doesn’t outperform Moses to win the RT spot, muscle memory is king sometimes. Ronnie stanley being the incumbent gets the job and is healthy enough to not lose it, we play 2022 without our first round pick taking a real snap. 2023 offseason comes around and cross is ready to start. What next…

I’ll tell ya what next, we fucking trade stanley for a 1/3 and future 2 and go nuts in FA again. Yes or no?

nah man - you just put cross in at RT in 2023 if he cant win that job in 2022 - nothing wrong with having Stanley and Cross on the same team at the same time - the value there is that Cross provides cover for Ronnie while also improving the right side

and it's not feasible anyway - we lose money by trading Stanley in 2023 anyway

more exciting than having tons of high draft capital in 2023, is having potentially elite bookends for years to come

we got a good nose tackle on a visit to the building tomorrow and we know the ravens have interest in pierce coming back

we're gonna have a big guy in the middle whether we draft davis or not
Pierce and Goldman aren't Jordan Davis. Davis eats Pierce and Goldman for lunch

What else could it possibly be?

zrebiec insinuated it's not the physical so would assume maybe it's to do with some language in the contract maybe regarding guarantees or the specifics of the incentives

idk what else

but also EDC said they may have more personnel news over the coming days

doesnt sound like the ravens are backing out of it like with ryan grant or michael brockers - feels a little different to that

and feel like if it was something like that we'd have heard about it from insiders by now

worth pointing out, for whatever this counts for, that morgan moses specifically mentioned how cool it's going to be to go against ZDS in practice so he at least has been given no indication that ZDS isnt still coming here

feel like if this was medical/physical like with grant or brockers that we'd already know about it

got to think this is about money and maybe the fact that he's come in at like half the value of Von Miller and Chandler Jones

Ravens didn’t back out of the Brockers deal; it was Brockers who did. Hopefully not a big deal though

That’s my concern here. After those guys got their deals and other teams missed out, maybe they called and asked if he had signed that deal yet.

he backed out because the ravens wanted to void some guarantees because of issues that showed up in a medical so he turned around and signed a similar deal with the rams instead

this feels like it's got to be about money (if there's anything to any of this)

as far as im concerned, the ZDS deal is still on until we find out otherwise
