i think so - especially if the texans really are thinking about corner at 3
we know the giants love sauce... idk how much they love stingley but feels like the floor on sauce is 7, vikings are getting mocked CBs at 12 left, right and centre

seahawks, jets are both potentially CB threats too
and if they are given the opportunity to take Stingley or McDuffie I don't know which one they take. The Vikings have had there share of busts lately with the Vikings and I could absolutely see them taking McDuffie due to fit and not taking a chance on Stingley because of the last two seasons. To me, McDuffie is the safer pick for a team like the Vikings.

right but that tier for me are the blue-chip top 10 guys...
we've been talking for months now about the fact that all 10 of those guys seem somewhat likely to all be gone

so when i say 2nd tier - i mean the same tier that i have jordan davis, andrew booth, devin lloyd, chris olave in

the kind of guys who we need to be comfortable taking at 14 in case there's no trade down option...
For me i have the tier 1 of guys we actually might have a shot at, hamilton, JJ, Davis, then there’s my next tier of guys I’m “settling” for, karlaftis leads that tier, then there’s booth, mcduffie etc.

finding myself more and more liking the idea of Mcduffie and his fit here

he's just so smooth and sound in everything he does - and moves so well too
he's the kind of guy that maybe convinces the ravens to forget about length at the position for once if he's there

Anyone get the feeling we trading back? Just makes too much sense. The run on WR / QB should start around us. Feel like we gon trade back into the Devin Lloyd, Dax Hill, Booth range

just thinking on the fit. so good in multiple coverages...inside/outside...zones/man. Marlon and he mixing inside out. Marcus and he covering thirds with Marcus Williams in the middle and Marlon chasing..perhaps Brandon or Ardarius covering in nickel...both with versatility to play safety roles.
Was initially of the mind that I preferred Booth but McDuffie is a better pure corner to me and plenty physical

i still probably prefer booth with his length and physicality reminding me of marlon along with the athleticism
but mcduffie's pretty great and he adds value to one of the few things we know about mike mcdonald's defence which is that he loves the idea of being able to show one coverage pre-snap and then present a different one post-snap without necessarily just being some sort of match and mcduffie is already good at and allows a defence he's in to continue to be good at disguising coverage

he mostly played LCB at Washington but he definitely projects well inside like you say and has that positional/matchup flexibility

i think adding him to a DB group that already has marlon and brandon stephens allows you to be so versatile and matchup-oriented with your snap-to-snap assignments - mcduffie definitely has more to offer than booth in that sort of dynamic

For me Sauce, Stingley, and Booth would be the only corners I want in the first round. I like McDuffie, but I don't have him quite on the same level, and there's be guys in other positions I'd take over him.
Is it because of his
size that you're down on McDuffey? Any other reasons?

interesting article on the last decade of success

what's even crazier is that the seahawks probably go even higher in this analytical process if we do it a year ago when they could include the 2011 class too lol
