Damn straight!
Exactly this. THIS is what frustrates me so much about the talk surrounding Lamar.

I look at guys like Flacco and Wilson who were carried by their running game and defense and simply allowed to be game managers, simply allowed to grow and acclimate themselves to the pressure.

Lamar? He's had to be THE man from the jump. He didn't have that transitionary period where he could just go 4/10 39 yards, and an interception and still win the game 33-14. Unless someone would like to argue that Flacco played well in that New England game and was a driving force in winning that game.

As a friendly reminder- Joe Flacco averaged 122 yards on 24 pass attempts in his first two years and managed ONE touchdown against SIX interceptions. Despite this, the Ravens won THREE games against the two that they lost.

I do NOT want to hear about Joe's playoff success and hear that Lamar should have the same level of success because what is asked of the two is drastically different. Joe admittedly started to figure it out in 2010 against the Chiefs before finally looking like January Joe in 2011. It took Joe four years to piece it all together. Lamar has NOT had that luxury at all. He has had to have it figured out from day one.

It's really just infuriating to me.
Dude this is such an inspiring post and so on the money. I'm going to invite you home when Lamar is here. Comparing Lamar's situation to Flacco's is just blasphemy. Can you imagine, how many championships we may have had if Ray, Ed, and Suggs were here when he is? We couldn't possibly lose a game.

I ride or die with Lamar as hard as any singular Ravens fan. I fucking love Lamar.

Lamar is an absolute heaven send to the Ravens organization that singlehandedly found a way to revitalize and reinvigorate a flat as fuck offense that was floundering as hard as Magikarp does in the Pokemon video games.

What annoys me the absolute most, and the reason I despise certain posters, is that people are still skeptical of Lamar and act like he's coasting off his MVP season, but unironically thought Joe was good from 2015-2018. You wanna talk about coasting off an achievement... Every excuse under the sun was made for Joe and why he was flatter than a year old soda, but Lamar isn't given that luxury. Instead, he's doubted and questioned.

Despite all that, Lamar rises to the challenge. He's an absolute menace on the field and he is again showing that he is that guy. He absolutely is the best quarterback to ever play for the Ravens and if the Ravens don't pay him, someone will open the bag and give him whatever he wants.

I mean, players from other teams are asking him for signed jerseys after the game in which Lamar just rolled all over their asses. What other proof does anybody need?

We've still got plenty of Ravens fans here, and elsewhere, that question whether the Ravens should tie up a signifcant portion of the cap for Lamar. It's insanity to me.

I'll ask him to sign an autograph for you and write a few nice words to boot.

Actually a lot of love for Lamar from the Steelers and that's crazy considering he's never played even decent against them.

That first comment in the Reddit thread sums it up nice (posting here because fuck Reddit):

WHAT IF we got deals made to acquire ALL of the BEST players in the NFL for all of our bad players!!!!???? Would you do that?

The second comment was funny too about he’d trade Pickett so fast that he’d be finding out about it through the media

Awww… this is the sweetest love note for a football player I’ve ever read. So sweet!

This thread is just one big love letter to Lamar and people who criticize him in any way are called mindless trolls as to not disrupt the love affair going on for him. He’d be so touched reading all your notes

Ah go write another long love letter to Lamar
I have never once actually seen you justify your thoughts, you know.

I mean, even flat earthers can construct arguments, so I know the dumb are capable of doing it.

I've seen plenty of people suggest you watch back the film, but I can understand not wantinf to shell out for the All-22 when you have no idea what you're watching. I'm simply asking for you to provide anything conducive to healthy discussion, which I've honestly never seen.

I have only once seen you write a long love note for Lamar. And only once is plenty enough for me.
