Has lamar ever failed to deliver on a game winning drive? He probably has but i honestly cant think of a time when he didnt!

some notable ones i can think of
chargers playoff game his rookie year, pats monsoon game, raiders game to open the 2021 season - and i guess the missed 2pt conversion against the steelers counts as well maybe?

cant think of any others though

The issue is (and I'll just ignore the thread from here on out, no prob) that there are some of you who write a page full essay of nothing but complete love and desire for him. That's disgusting

This is perfection lol.... five gold stars to you for this one. I've already gone on record today saying that he deserves whatever contract he's given. He is our entire team.

All I have to say on this topic anymore, is if they make Lamar the franchise QB, they need to make an equally important decision to get a bona-fide OFF Coordinator/HC. I'm not OK with the status quo. If they make a commitment to Lamar, I'm ok with that, but they need to dedicate themselves to getting a legit guy like Sean Payton to work with him thru the length of his contract.

what makes you feel Sean Payton is better, just a question. He had Drew Brees for his entire career and the wins / losses are pretty similar, including the post season. Not like Harbaugh had anyone like Drew Brees until Lamar came to town.

The grass isn't always greener.

Also, how many coaches have won a super bowl on two different teams? The answer is zero.

yes it was his fault. Totally missed Davis off to his left for the easy TD.

davis was never the read

the mistakes he made on that play were all related to duvernay

- not reading that duvernay would be wide open and being late to get the ball out because of it
- being late to get the ball out put him under pressure that he didnt need to be under
- which led to him throwing without a good platform/base
- poor throw... not only did he not give his receiver a chance, he gave the defender a great chance (and cost us 18 yards)

mike davis in that play was never going to be got to in the reads because of the free rusher (and also because faalele got beat straight away on the other side) - to get to davis he would not only have to have a full field read, he'd then have to go through that progression (have duvernay not be open) and do it quick enough before the pressure got to him

He came out for a breather and at that point, Hill was done for the day. Davis was all that was left at RB for that play.

and like... let's be fair here... davis has been shit as a runner but he's fine at 3rd down stuff - not dynamic but perfectly capable of reading blocks and making good decisions as a checkdown/release and my guess is that that stuff is why he's active and drake's inactive
