getting Gus Edwards back, whenever he is available, will be huge for our defense in the 4th quarter. Our running game has been terrible in the 4th quarter, thus we haven't been able to use the clock. Edwards has over 5 ypc and am looking forward to getting him back in a few weeks.
I’m bummed Badie hasn’t found a role. Thought he would add some value in the run game and special teams

I'd be pissed! New Yorker here born and raised as a member of the "Evil Empire".
I mean it's bad enough to have one of our teams not pay their superstar, but to have two teams?

*sighs*

I was talking with a fellow Yankees fan yesterday about where he might go if we don't sign him. I'm "fine" with him going to the Dodgers. I'm NOT fine with him going to the Mets. Fuck. That.

Yea that feels like a big mistake for the Nats. Much like the Os and Machado , you don’t let franchise anchoring players leave in their prime.

I was born in dirty Jersey. RAVENS ALL DAY
Jersey I can somewhat understand , there are no official Jersey teams except for the Nets. You have your choice between the New York teams, Phili, Baltimore , and wash.

Edit: forgot the devils

I lived in Bergen County just by the Hudson River. You either a Jets fan or a Giants fan.

It wasn't until I moved to Florida that I made a decision on a team

Sure. I was born in N.J. but raised in both New Jersey and New York (my Dad moved us around a whole lot between the two states) for the majority of my pre-teen years. As a young man, I've always loved the "pinstripes" of the New York Yankees along with their iconic players (back then in the '70s) such as Reggie Jackson, Thurmond Munsen, Bucky Dent, Lou Piniella, etc. And who could forget our manager and owner; Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner? As far as the Knicks or the Nets? I'm not a huge basketball fan (that's my son). As far as the NFL and my selection of the Ravens and not the NY Giants or NY Jets? Well, I use to live down the street from where the Jets practiced at Hofstra University. Never liked them but loved the NY Giants with L.T. etc. However, my mother moved us away from NY down to her home area in Mississippi. After H.S. graduation I joined the Army and then went to Germany and then Texas. I got out in Texas where I became a Cowboys fan for a few years....the lean years when they were 1-15 and then when they won their Superbowls in the '90s. But, there was a college team that caught my eye. The Miami Hurricanes! Man, they were flashy but good and I loved it! That's where I first saw Raymond Anthony Lewis. I watched that young cat and was very impressed with his heart and passion for the game. I waited to see where he would be drafted in '96 to follow his career and to support that team. The newly established BALTIMORE RAVENS! So, I've been on board with the Ravens since then because of Ray. I must admit though that my heart was torn when the Ravens faced the Giants in the Superbowl in 2000. Glad we won of course but, that is as far as my allegiance to the city of Baltimore goes. When it comes to MLB there is only ONE TEAM that will forever have my heart:

I don’t judge military , we’re basically free agents to the sports world. I gave up on the Os after moving around the world. Tampa is temporary but i pull for the Rays since that’s the only team my kids have known. Soft spot in my heart for the Caps still but I’ll lean bolts now as well. Ravens never changed, spent to much time and energy on those MFs

Yeah! The military does move you around a bit however, my roots are in NJ/NY. Sure, I live in VA now but the majority of my younger years were spent up in NJ/NY and those are times that I will never forget. I love going back to NY whenever I get the chance to do so. My wife was just there a few weeks back visiting her mother. It's different now from when I was a youngster there but it will always be my "claimed" home state and city.

I lived close to the meadowlands, I still remember rooting for the Giants to beat the Ravens. I was 10

That makes sense. I miss the days of Miami and Fla St going at each other. A shitload of stars. I remember holding a shrimp and beer NFL draft party at my house where a lot of my friends some that hadnt seen since high school came over and it was a hell of a good time. We drafted Ed Reed that year and there was a lot of excitement about that. Tried doing it for a few yrs after but it was never the same and then the NFL changed its draft format.

Baseball sucks, goes forever. Cricket is heaps better.
Ew. I enjoyed rugby sevens and Friday night footie from my time in Australia, but Soccer and Cricket are just painful to watch. Cricket games last a lot longer than baseball as well….I’ve always seen 3-4 hours or worse a couple days
