The good, the Bad, and the Detroit Rock City: Week 13 Edition

I'm more worried about webb than the any of the other corners. I was told on twitter a few weeks ago when i said we should rest jimmy for at least a month that i was not being rational. I said it was a ticking time bomb ala richard sherman.

He's done/

We're going to need to direct safety help towards Marlon's side of the field next week. Fortunately Weddle is still great in coverage. We are also going to need to play Hill instead of Webb at slot CB. Webb at this point in his career should still be playing safety.

Get well soon Jimmy and I really miss Tavon Young. We still had him he could play the outside and we could still limit Marlon's snaps.

Let's be honest, this was a statement victory and a huge game from the whole team.

Next week will be extremely difficult but if the offense shows this wasn't a fluke and the defense figures out how to stay dominant without Jimmy we're going to win a lot of games

I don't see this as a "statement" victory at all per se. A great win-absolutely! So, let's rejoice over it and enjoy it of course. But a "statement" win to me is this; after winning 3 games in a row....and.....IF the Ravens can roll into Heinz Field next week and the offense can play like it did today and even better (along with the defense and special teams) and get their 4th "W" in a row there in Pittsburgh against the Steelers in order to maintain their position in the Wild Card spot?

NOW THAT'S A STATEMENT GAME!

Here's to the Ravens making a statement!

Has anyone mentioned how well Joe played yet?

I felt like he was ready to break out last week, but the offense just sucked it up. Today in the 2nd quarter, the offense finally let Joe take over and there you go

What's sad is as well as he was playing he could have put up some gaudy numbers if it weren't for all the dropped passes and some miscues early in the third quarter.

Obviously the question becomes what about next week? Is this an anomaly or the turning of a corner?

I'm feeling like it's the latter

The Ravens are not winning next week. Setting that as the parameter is setting the Ravens up for failure. They will lose next week in Pitt but win the last 3 hit 10 wins and make playoffs with 1 game to spare. 9-7 gets you in as the Ravens and I think they go 10-6.

I really, really hope it's the start of something good.

Good
1)Joe had his head in the game...the entire game...why is this a rarity? He was generally accurate, threw with confidence and made good decisions

Joe is beginning to power up and by the time we make the playoffs in January, he'll finally transform into January Joe with a power level of over 9000 and kick ass.

The Good: Offensive Line, Joe, receivers, and Collins were on point today. DL played a good game too and Detroit had a few good runs but ultimately we contained.

Bad: Jimmy's injury and Marlon's struggles vs Jones. One thing I want to point out though is that Humphrey's is dealing with a leg injury and didn't have the speed or quickness today that he usually has.

Agreed, a real statement game is a win vs Pittsburgh next week.
