The Defense, the Offense, and the Crabtree....

so the one (not positive) but not horrendous thing to remember is that all 3 of our division games so far have been on the road and we've gone 1-2 always against homefield advantage - we should be 2-1 but its not a disaster as long as we take care of business at home

but after this loss im gonna have a sinking feeling in my stomach going into every single game because this is "the same old ravens"

Yes it does. The real bright side is this. We got all of our road games out of the way for the division. We are a much much better team at home

We did but going 1-2 isn't really a good thing. You still want that tie-breaker and it might come down to Cincinatti-Cleveland or whomever, but there was so many opportunities to win this game.

Never like games where Flacco throws over 50 times. He was outplayed by Mayfield despite receiving less pressure to my view.

Cleveland is such a young team, they are likely to improve as the season progresses. Cincy is dangerous. Thankfully we get pitt in Baltimore next, but they are gonna be tough second time around.

Crabree, good lord. I can't say enough of how big of a disappointment he was today. Just awful drop after drop. Guy is easily going to lead the league in drops and by a good margin. Not worth the drops and if he keeps this up he's definitely not lasting the full 3 years of his deal here.

Now I think the defense played a good game, but it seems like every now and then they just allow a big play. Literally had the Browns pinned deep and turned a 2nd and 22 into a 3rd and 7 and to a big play. I don't care who you are or how much time you played, no defense should allow that to happen. That's just a horrible play.

Offense was inexcusible and honestly one of the worst offensive games in recent memory. You have to go back to week 3 against Jacksonville to find an offensive performance as bad as this.

for some reason we just havent consistently been playing well within the division for a while - no matter what our record is outside of the division 4-2 always feels like the upper limit and if we really want to take the division over we have to be going 5-1 or at least be a threat to go 5-1 -

The Bengals are two games up; it'd take the Bengals losing at least two in the division, including to the Ravens, and then some luck.

I don't know how the rest of the AFC head to head will go but this was a bad loss.

We're to blame for these Bengals looking this damn good too. All we had to do was stop em on 4th and 12 and who knows what they look like. Now that team looks clutch as fuck.

The Steelers have had the Bengals number in recent years much like the Bengals have had the Ravens. I could see them dropping at least one of those and then hopefully one in Baltimore.

It’s still very possible and I wouldn’t throw out the possibility yet. Lots of football and it’ll come down to us taking care of business at home. 4-2 should get you close to winning the division. All of our road games against the division are done so there’s the silver lining.

That started by is now buried in Cleveland, never to be spoken of again. I wanted to bury it during the game but felt it was too late for that.
